Evening sun and holiday read

Lounging on our terrace reading a gripping and intriguing novel by Paulo Coelho, 5.30pm local time with a sun that still requires very high SPF.

A cluttered mind..

We will miss this this year's Swedish Midsummer party. Above pic is taken in Hyde Park on Midsummer 2006 (before I met Bear) with my then lovely flatmate Emma.

Must remember to pop across the road and give the bag of clothes I’ve put together for the Women’s Emergency Church Army. Just realized that we will miss this year’s Swedish Midsummer celebrations in London. I am so proud of who Sean is becoming. I love his constant kisses. Have to watch SATC on my return from holiday. You really are only as old as you feel . Is four bikinis too much to take on holiday? Maybe I should just take three. Tonight it’s a no carb dinner. Omelet and with a Greek side salad that is. I hope my vitamins arrive before we travel tomorrow. I am feeling so happy and excited, bouncing around Gummy Bear –style happy and excited, that we are going on holiday. A holiday which is a time to unwind, relax, experience something new, to explore and to re-charge the batteries. One of the things I most look forward to is waking up with a sea view from our bed through the opened terrace doors. I wish I will have to do my usual round in the park today. How many nappies do I need to bring? Wonder where I can buy a travel kettle. I gotta continue with my organising and packing now…

Denim DIY

In preperation for our Sardinia holiday on Wednesday, I've been doing some denim DIY. I've made shorts from jeans and these are one out of now three(!) pairs.
And voila, here's the result:

Father's Day (contd.)

We had the perfect family day today that included a trip on a peddle boat on the Regents Park lake

Father's Day

Here we are, celebrating Bear on Father's Day this morning. Sean and I woke up Daddy with a large cup of tea in bed and a card and present each from us. And now I'm treating him by cooking up a full English breakfast. Bear is a really hands on Dad, and both Sean and I are so lucky to have him.

Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad.

Happy Father's Day, Bear -
You are the bestest Dad and we love you!

say Daddy

Practising in preperation for Father's Day on Sunday :-)

Lunching in Daddy's chair

Sean clearly thinks he is a boy these days, as he insists on sitting in Daddy's chair! :-)

A large healthy crispy and absolutely yummy tuna salad (with everything in it from green beans, broccoli to various pulses) is my choice for today's lunch

flowers and just another list

1. Today I am grateful for... so many things – we are going on holiday next week, Sean has been accepted at the nursery we wanted on the days that we wanted plus I received a beautiful bunch of flowers, all ones that I really like i.e - peonies, lupines, lilies etc and all in different pink shades ) which makes me thankful for having a man who knows exactly what I like, and how to make me happy

2. Last night... I cooked fish, lemon sole, and made a spinach salad for Bear and I

3. This week I plan to... have a booze free week, power walk every day, meet up with friend Viv and baby Oskar, have a haircut (yesterday), drink a lot of water, back up my photos, try and figure out how to watch my downloaded movies on to the flat screen, get my sewing machine out (and dust it off!) and shorten a newly bought too long tunic, celebrate Bear on Father’s Day on Sunday, make a take-on-holiday list and take Sean to a playgroup on Thurs and place a grocery order to be delivered asap

4. Currently bugging me: having bad period-like pains, even though it’s not that time of the month. Also, have discovered cellulite on my stomach!*help*

5. Favourite ice cream flavours: Chocolate and mint

6. Longing for: Waking up to a see view (which we will every day whilst on our upcoming family holiday)

7. On my current wish list: Blackberry Bold in white gloss and the new white (and rose gold) Chanel J12 watch

As much as I long for a sea view from my bedroom, I could do with a lake view too, like on this pic. In fact, any view of water (lake or Ocean) when waking up, is the most calming and wonderful thing I can think of!

genious

At the supermarket to pick up some last minute Swedish stuff (to take to England), before my Dad will come and take us to the airport.

Note the genious toddler car attached to the trolley to make shopping fun for the little one's too!

new for the bathroom shelf

Today I've bought one of my all time favourite products, Sensai Bronzing Gel SPF 6 (in Amber bronze) from the Japanese brand Kanebo.

It's a tinted gel with 70% water and a very refreshing texture that gives a silky smooth finish. Perfect for the Summer when I'm a little tanned and do not want to use any make-up base. Alternatively I sometimes use a drop or two with my usual foundation.

Last few hours in Sweden....
