Granny Sheila

Alan's 70 year old mum (doesn't she look great?!) is currently down in London for a visit, to see her two of her seven grandchildren.

Stocking up

With both Friday and Monday being a public holiday here in the UK, we have yet another long weekend to look forward to, and to make sure we don't run out of goodies to eat, I've just been to get some yummy food from the nearby Swedish shop.

Sense of accomplishment

I've just completed my second jog ever, in my adult life that is.

Roughly half the hourly power walk- round that I do.
First one was on Monday and despite feeling like I'd lost lung tissue and internal organs since, I still went for it today thinking no way in a million years will I do the same distance, but I did, and boy what a sense of accomplishment!

Morning glory

Here is my little joy in his PJ's this morning, very excited to be going to nursery all day today. Last time he went was before we travelled to Sweden, so admittedly mummy too is looking forward to it! lol

Erik came over to spend some time together with his nephew, before travelling to The Cayman Island in the Caribbean tomorrow, for a 10 day holiday with his boyfriend.

"Fika" at uncle Henrik's and auntie Lisa's

Fika definition in dictionary:
Originally used as a Swedish verb meaning "to go for coffee," the word fika can also be used as a noun ("coffee break"). It is standard in Sweden to invite friends to fika every few hours during the work day. One's coffee is normally accompanied with a small snack such as a sweet bread, cinnamon roll, or piece of cake.

Mum the entertainer, part 5

Sean had a front row seat for his Grandma’s band’s live show- (Mum is in a band that plays classic rock /60's covers) at a recent gig they were hired to perform at. Sean loves music and seeing ‘Mormor’ on stage was a real thrill! :-)

Clear blue skies & new gladiator sandals

Laying in a comfy deckchair on Mum's terrace in the back garden, soaking up the very warm sun whilst looking up at the cloud free sky and listening to the birds singing without interruption from sirens or traffic noises. Bliss!
