Whirlwind week

Top of his class!
On Thursday it was Sean's last day at school, and he was allowed to wear his own clothes as he won the academic price for achievement and attainment.  After three terms of doing both Maths and English with the year above him, school is now out for Summer and it means no more hard work until September.

Picnic at Portman Square

We sipped on rose wine late into Thursday evening

On Saturday we spent all day in Regents Park alternating between eating, drinking, sunbathing and napping in the shade

Fun in the sun!

Red alert!
Boisterous boy
I just love warm Summer evenings when the temperatures don't drop until way after 9pm
The terrace at the Benugo Restaurant's is a fab foodie spot during the Summer months and it's always packed.
I'm so proud of my boy, and I couldn't hold the tears back when he was given his award in school last week.

Sibling bond

Scarlett Grace - this second little person has a very real place in our family unit, and it is so wonderful to see this sibling bond develop and grow. I can’t wait to see what happens over the next few years. Love is simply not a strong enough word to describe my feelings for them

Go Daddy!

Just got back from cheering on Bear and his team, as they did the annual Citywire 10k charity run (raising money for a  a wonderful organisation that is a children's hospice). We were proud to say the least, and we celebrated their sporting achievements over snacks and drinks in Regents Park.

Friends & fizz on Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day at David and Andrea's house in North London. Tim prepared a yummy barbecue and we ate and chatted over wine, champagne and Pimms, whilst all our kids frolicked about and just ran free, like the wild little creatures that they are.
What was nice is that there is always a level of communal parenting going on, with everyone taking their turn to entertain the toddlers. Who needs to buy toys?
When the sun slowly began to disappear behind the trees in their beautifully manicured garden, and when the kids were ready for bed, we finally surrendered to the evening. And boy what a warm and wonderful evening it was!

Seventeen months

Scarlett Grace turned 17 months last week, and her growing independence is asserting itself in numerous ways. For example, she can undress herself pretty well, take her shoes off (always when I don't want her to though!) and she's also quite good at brushing her hair and teeth by herself  -
Before we know it she'll be tying her shoe laces too haha!
