Mid morning snack + fab tune!

This morning, in typical Swedish style, I'm munching on Finn crisps with hard boiled eggs and smoked cod roe spread, whilst listening to this brilliant new tune by Bruno Mars (the sound really reminds me of  80s English rock band 'The Police'):

Saturday in South Ken

Last Saturday was spent having a leisurely lunch with friends at the fab Italian restaurant Scalini in Walton Street.  I highly recommend the lobster linguine!

Happy Weekend!

This morning I'm reading my new book and drinking coffee

1. Thought for the day: the weekend is nearly here, babay!

2. Last night I...cooked Lemon Sole with creamy spinach for mine and hubby's dinner, and watched a property program on TV before going to bed at 10pm (I had been up since 5am!).

3 - Pissed off with at the mo: The shutter assembly on our SLR camera is broken and will cost £190 to fix! Have therefore decided to buy a new one instead..

4. At the moment I spend too much time.....online, looking at property porn LOL, it's become my guilty pleasure!

5.Today I am... meeting up with my Swedish friends Sara and Sophie for lunch and a catch-up

6. Currently loving.... strolling in Hyde Park/Regents Park watching the changing colours of the leaves - stunning!

7. Plans for the next few days.... ordering Thai take away this evening, viewing a 3 bedroom flat with outdoor terrace (New Cavendish St) in Marylebone on Saturday morning, followed by lunch with our friends Andrea and David at
Scalini. On Sunday we are going to a local birthday party with Sean

8. Current Nail colour: red (Dragon) by Chanel

9. Last song I tagged on Shazam:
 Avicii vs Lenny Kravitz "Superlove"

10. Current book I"m reading: J K Rowling's new novel "The Casual Vacancy"

Sushi Samba

On Tuesday I went to Sushi Samba in the Heron Tower in the City.  I've been meaning to go for quite a while but never got round to it until the other day, so I was very excited to say the least.

The glass sided lift rockets you up to the 38th(!) floor, and the view over the capital is simply out of this world.
Their roof top terrace is spectacular and has an open gas fire pit which is perfect for al fresco drinking in the chilly Autumn evenings as it keeps you really warm :-)

Snippets of our Saturday

On Saturday we continued the search for the right property to buy (this time in very pretty little cobbled mews in Marylebone Village). Unfortunately it's garden was completely overlooked and therefore not of any interest.

We later had a long lunch outdoors in the sunshine, in a spot in Mayfair that is just perfect for people spotting - a fave past time for both of us :-)

Sausage sandwich

Sean with his babyccino, munching on his new fave choice in Starbucks (toasted sausage sandwich).

Next we are off to Selfridges to get his feet measured and look at Timberland boots for him. Laters, alligators! X

Anniversary pressie!

On Sunday Bear got me this stunning monogram Lurex shawl in brown (this is the new version of the monogram ones I already have) that has this beautiful shimmer to it from the soft shine yarn they've used.
It's feels like such a luxurious piece and the colour is simply perfect for the Autumn and Winter that's round the corner! :-)

This picture really doesn't do the shawl justice as it's taken with my phone - look here for a better perception of it
