East End boys and West End girl

On Friday evening we went to London Docklands to a Chinese restaurant called Yi-Ban (which translates "First Class") that overlooks the skyline of East London. We were shown to our table by the window, and I remember thinking how many Chinese people were there - that always bodes well and highlights the high level of food.  It was fascinating watching the planes in and out of City Airport, and the serenity of the river view and peaceful waters of the Albert Dock will have me back there in no time!

Wine not?

If you love roof top dining like me, Vintage Salt on Selfridges' top floor is the great West End spot on a sunny afternoon.
On Wednesday I took Sean and met up with my brother there, and Gerry came to join in a bit later. They have a fun nautical theme, do exceptionally delicious burgers, and unusually good English (yup, you heard right -don't knock it till you've tried it! ) sparkling wine. You can thank me later!

Seventeen months

Scarlett Grace turned 17 months last week, and her growing independence is asserting itself in numerous ways. For example, she can undress herself pretty well, take her shoes off (always when I don't want her to though!) and she's also quite good at brushing her hair and teeth by herself  -
Before we know it she'll be tying her shoe laces too haha!

Lunch with a view

Gerry and I spent a long leisurely afternoon at Radio Rooftop on The Strand on Thursday, where we were surrounded with spectacular views over London's landmarks. Their food (small plates to share) is also very good, and of course when weather permits, I can honestly say it's one of the best spots in the capital.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

The kiddies on today's school run - they just make my heart melt!

Exciting night ahead of us tonight! Hair salon next for a blow dry, followed by dinner with a bunch of our close friends (table for 8!) at The Delaunay, and dancing afterwards at Mortons Club in Mayfair
Let the good times roll!

Life Lately

Noteworthy news:

The Amersham property has been taken off the market as our offer has officially been accepted, and things are now moving forward. With a little bit of luck my Mum will move to England in the Autumn - a dream that finally will be reality!!!
