Earlier today...

My new black floppy felt hat

London overground (orange line) to Dalston Junction where my brother now lives

Not your usual end of May outfit... Brr! Thankfully that's all about to change tomorrow :)

Morning, Thursday!

Today's delicious brekkie;  Full fat Greek yoghurt, blueberries and raspberries with brazil & hazel nuts as well as walnuts
Sean has no school this week as it's half term, and with the weather being crappy, we've decided to visit Erik in his new flat on Kingsland Road.

He only moved in yesterday, and reason for his move is so that he will be near the Homerton Hospital, where he will start working as a junior doctor at the end of Summer.  But first - another property viewing on Bryanston Square!

Tea time after school

On our way home from school, we stopped at Cocomaya for some tea and chocolate brownies.  Bear (who took the pics) worked from home today, so we surprised Sean by picking him up together, which he of course really likes! Family quality time at it's best

Hello I'm Sean, I'm 4 years old and I can read! :-)

Sean is making really good progress in school with his reading, and Bear and I couldn't be more proud of him! Here's a little extract of what he's currently learning from this week's book:

"I am Lotty. The happy puppy. Look at me." - "Lotty looks at the fat frog in the mud. "

    Frame it!

So I finally found a large silver snakeskin photo frame! :) A close-up on the right.

    Green mirrored aviators

Surely nobody could have missed the latest trend (well at least not if you live in London!); the green mirrored aviators.

Ray-Ban's 2013 Spring collection have both green and blue lenses, at around £100 a pair. I however, not knowing how long this trend will last, dont fancy splashing out on a designer ones, so guess if I was pleased when I found these ones for £2(!). You gotta love Primark :-)

    Mi casa - today

A new red rocking chair for our home office
A fresh mint plant which adds a dash of colour to our kitchen, has a wonderful refreshing scent and tastes delicious in tea
Pink peonies on the dining table together with a large hamper of goodies that I won after donating money to a charity, in a raffle they did with Starbucks!
Have just decided to take it back though, to allow them to raffle again as its a great charity, and could benefit from any more money raised.

Snippets of our Bank Holiday Weekend

Our packed weekend, from top to bottom: A day at leisure at our country club Stoke Park,  local lunch in Marylebone at Briciole (not to be recommended as it's overpriced with very small portions!),  Dinner and drinks at newly opened hotel Melia that has one of best rooftop terraces, with the most incredible views over London's skyline, lunch on the canal in Little Venice during the canalway festival, and last but not least; barbecue at our friends' house, with several generations and plenty of vino flowing - Needless to say there was lot's to talk about over the sizzling steaks :-)
