Sean's birthday

On Thursday it was six years ago since that wonderful day (at the Lindo Wing, Paddington), when I gave birth to my first child, Sean

It just so happened that on the same day, Sean's school Christmas s play was held at a church in South Kensington 

Our little boy was a squirrel, hence the big brown furry hat he's wearing! 

Erik and John took the day off work and came along to watch the play and then we all headed off to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park..

..where he opened more pressies and went on lot's of fun rides. Bear had a beer and a frankfurter,

Scarlett Grace kept warm in her new, a little big LOL, puffer jacket

The uncles and I started off with Prosecco 

followed by mulled wine with a shot of rum in (compulsory me thinks lol!), and I was as happy as one can be, surrounded by my loves in the fab German Christmas funfair

Sean got in-line rollerblades from Erik and John, as well as duvet cover with One Direction on (he is currently obsessed with them!)

My friend of many many years, Ama, came and joined the party too!

Blow job

Friday morning in Selfridges beauty hall. The sheer luxury of having two people working on my hair at the same time, that's a first :-) They promise a 25 minute blow-dry - so watch this space!  Might even have enough time for a manicure too before the flight LOL!

Diptique

I love the French candle company Diptyque, and yesterday I bought the large five wick Figuier 1500g candle, which has a 150 hours burn time (compared to the standard 190g size candle on the left in the picture), and should definitely last us through the upcoming festive Season.
It comes in a beautiful white ceramic pot which I no doubt will re-use for some nice plants :-)

To Mum and Dad's amazement, Sean's current fave toy is this sword that we bought in the pound shop (yes for one pound only!)

Christmas has arrived on Marylebone High Street and the Conran shop, where I love to browse in to get ideas for our home, looked so pretty from the outside

After the playground and a long walk around the park we needed to defrost and have a well deserved lunch and coffee at Cote Brasserie, just off the high street. I indulged in a veal escalope and creamed spinach

 Last but not least - final pit stop at the local library where we borrowed as many as 10 new books for Sean to read himself, as well being read to him at bedtime

Baby's first Christmas

It will be Scarlett Grace's first Christmas this year, and I'm so excited to get to dress my girl in her new Holiday outfits

24 hours of child free fun daaaaahhling

Last Saturday we spent the night at Grouncho Club//had lunch and cocktails at Deanstreet Townhouse//No one could have missed the big brow trend by now! My much thicker newly grown back eyebrows (it's taken me a year!) // exquisite  dinner at Roka Mayfair (best Japanese I've tasted since Nobu Park Lane!)// Last but not least we ended the evening with drinkies and dancing until 3am at the newly done up Quaglinos !

10 months old!

So, we're now in to double digits, TEN months old today! Scarlett Grace's personality is really emerging now, and it's wonderful to watch. She can now stand completely unaided for about 15 seconds, she waves when I ask her to, and claps when I say "klappa" (clap in Swedish). She's showing a desire of independence when it comes to eating as she insists to feed herself with solids. 
She goes down at 8pm every day without any fuss, and during night time we put a bottle of milk in her cot which she grabs herself and drink from as and when she please. That way we don't have to get up! 

In the last weeks or so she's been going trough the "stranger anxiety" phase or "man-fear" as I call it, as it's only ever with the masculine sex (although it isn't always restricted to strangers... could be a good friend or relative too!) - so much so that she could scream uncontrollably at a poor sod behind us in the grocery store queue! 

Needless to say, she continues to amaze me every day - she brings out my biggest smiles (like today when I found her sitting on Sean's bed - didn't know she could climb up there!) and melt my heart day in and day out ♥♥♥

So, 24 hours in a kid free zone has just got underway (thanks Mum!) Late lunch at one of our faves - Dean Steeet Townhouse in Soho. Pumpkin soup, warm crusty bread and a spicy Bloody Mary to get the show on the road...

Celebrating my brother Erik's 27th bday tonight YAY!! 

He's back!

Sean, 5 years and 11 months, took his first solo flight as an "Unaccompanied Minor" with SAS last Saturday from London to Copenhagen

Returning at Paddington yesterday, after spending his half term in Sweden with his Grandma. He absolutely loved it and wanted to travel home on his own too - however, my Mum was his travel companion on the journey back :-)
