Playground pals

With the children at Marylebone Playground today. It's quite amazing how Anna's and my kids are the same age. Nick is 7 and Sean turns 7 in a month, and Scarlett Grace is only ten days older than Chris - a real blessing for our play dates :-)

Half term adventure

And they're off!
Bear and Sean jumped on the 7.30am train this morning from Euston to Glasgow
(4.5 hours journey) for a few days with the Scottish clan.

Unmask your potential

Chanel Hydra Beauty Mask 75ml

Here's a product I've been using this for years, and I make sure I never run out of it!  It's VERY hydrating (my view it's not really suitable for oily skin), and all my dry patches diminishes after using this. Its thick but absorbs nicely and feels amazing to put on, and it smells nice too.

And even though you're supposed to remove any excess with a cotton pad after 10 minutes, I normally leave it on over night. Especially after a night out drinking when my skin gets so dehydrated. Highly recommended!

Our Saturday

A flying visit!

It was so good to catch up with our friends who now live in Cologne, Germany. We originally met in an ante natal class before Sean and Oskar were born, so we have known each other for quite some time now. The boys have always got on so well and hopefully we can get over to Germany next year for a return visit.

Daddy's girl :-)

After catching up with Viv, Felix and their boys, we went on to Montpeliano in Knightsbridge for great Italian food, wine and family fun.

Chiltern Firehouse

On Friday I met up with Aly in the beautiful courtyard of Chiltern Firehouse

Too early for bubbles? Well at 12pm, we certainly didn't think so!
I had the most divine lemon sole - a new and very welcoming addition on their menu

Happy Friday handstand

It's a glorious sunny Autumn morning, it's Friday and I'm going for lunch with a girlfriend at Chiltern Firehouse, London's hottest celebrity hangout in the former fire station in Marylebone.
Have a good weekend everyone!

These boots are made for walking

Serviced!
New heels, new soles, an all over polish and these booties are good to go for another few seasons :-)

Mountain Man

As part of his training for his trip to climb Kilimanjaro in January, Bear and some friends of his travelled to Wales at the weekend to climb Mount Snowdon, the second highest mountain in the UK. His verdict?  - very tough, but great fun. And they were so lucky with the weather with blue skies and sunshine which is very rare in that part of the world.
So it seems that hubby has got a new hobby, and maybe he'll become the new Bear Grylls

Farewell party (delayed post)

My dear friend Gerry has left on a bit of a sabbatical world tour for five whole months, and I miss her already (sob!). However before she went off on her travels a few weeks ago, she held a barbecue party at her home in Kew.
It was such a lovely day as friends and family gathered and lots of fun and laughs - and a few drinks too as we said our farewells. Bon voyage my darling, see you next year! xxx

Turkish delight

On Friday night Erik, John, the kids and I walked over to our fave outside spot under the heaters at Ishtar, our local restaurant. We drank Turkish wine and ate authentic cuisine including their signature mezze.  Then my friend Johanna (whom I met years ago when she used to live in London) who was visiting from Stockholm, came and joined us for a much needed catchup, and some more wine of course!

Sleep over

Sean had a sleep over at Erik and John's last night, and in the space of a day they managed to bake Swedish cinnamon buns, went out for pizza and crossed the River Thames in East London on the Emirates Air Line cable car link - Needless to say, it was a 24 hours of fun with the uncles!

Taekwondo

Kiai!
Lil man in his new martial arts outfit today. The new after-school clubs are proving to be a success. Tomorrow he's got chess, and after one session he's already learnt how all the pieces move. Proud Mummy to say the least :-)
