A well deserved cappuccino in the sun after my first run in over a year. Today I started off lightly with 1 kilometre only (and boy my chest is on fire!), but one's gotta start somewhere, right?
I've now been given the "go-a-head" from my obstetrician to start exercising again, and to keep me motivated I bought this gorgeous very feminine swimsuit that highlights all the post pregnancy curves:

Obsession confession!
So the Isabel Marant-virus has got to me as well LOL! Love my new black 'Bobby' wedge trainers as they provide both style and comfort. I got mine from Selfridges where they've got a big selection of styles and colours - I much prefer these to the 'Bekett' style, as they are much neater with the lace up front as opposed to chunky looking velcro straps. |

Sunday equals Funday!
|
We were spoiled with beautiful Winter weather today, which was quite a shock since we've experienced very wet and windy conditions here in the UK as of late. So naturally, we made the most of it and hit the park for a nice long walk, a playground session for Sean, and then met up with Erik, JJ and his sister Sharon over on a visit from Northern Ireland.

And so a month has passed...
Dear Baby Girl,
Wow, you’re now a month old (seriously, I think I blinked and a month disappeared in a flash!!!), and we’ve already created so many wonderful memories with you! You’ve been....
....on a few early morning marathon shopping trips around Oxford Street
on numerous Starbucks visits
to drop off and collect your big brother from his school
to the Doctors' surgery to get you registered with a GP
on walks around the park in your pram
out to eat in restaurants several times
to Mummy's and Daddy's two favourite gastro pubs
running errands with your Mummy including to the Swedish Embassy to apply for a passport
to see a paediatrician at the Lindo Wing regarding the blood-filled bump on your head (from the ventouse)
had several visits from friends and family who wanted to meet you
on a red double decker bus
you've taken a London taxi in the Baby Bjorn sling to Westminster City Council's new office on Harrow Road to register your birth
you've even stayed in a hotel over night in Soho!
You've already outgrown your newborn-sized clothes, you love laying on Mummy's (or Daddy's for that matter!) chest, you still have those broken blood vessels on your left eyelid which I always have to kiss, you love staring at lights, you must do these adorable and cute stretches every time you wake up, you love your bath time, you are a good sleeper and wake up no more than twice a night (unlike your brother who woke two or three times as much, and you almost immediately stop crying when I pick you up!
What can I say... well... I'm still on cloud nine and I have no intention of coming off it anytime soon! I'm so happy...about everything..even the little things like finding tiny pink socks on the floor LOL!
Scarlett Grace you are pretty much amazing...
and to sum it up; you C.O.M.P.L.E.T.E. me!
xoxo

Inside Info
I am so in love with my daughter, and can't stop sniffing her! There simply isn't anything sweeter and more satisfying than the smell of her tiny little head ♥ |
My nickname is.. "Rina" (pronounced 'Reena') by Bear, and "Cat" by my friends
Yesterday... Scarlett Grace and I met up with my brother Erik and JJ for lunch in the West End (see pics below)
My favourite TV show is: a lot of American sitcoms; currently 'Sons Of Anarchy', but in the past I've loved US dramas such as 'Six Feet Under' and 'Brothers & Sisters'.
Recent shocking discovery: I gained 17 kilos during the pregnancy!
A big regret is... not listening to my Mum trying to teach me, and encouraging me to learn how to play the guitar properly
Biggest extravagance... private education for Sean
The one thing I'd change about myself is... to let go of things more easily, i.e be less of a control freak
If I can, I always try to avoid... sugar. Not only does it make one fat, but it gives me uncontrollable cravings and is very bad for the teeth too.
Fave tune at the moment... "Drunk in love" - Jay Z and Beyonce duet
What keeps me up at night... usually trivial things that seems bigger of a problem than they really are. But last night, for the first time since being born, Scarlett Grace kept us all up as she was very unsettled and cried for hours on end (hope it's not colic that's kicking in!!!)
Favourite scent.. right now it's my daughter.. she smells utterly gorgeous, even more so than my Jo Malone perfume ;-)
My perfect Sunday is... a lie-in with Bear and my children, all snuggled up together in our bed, breakfast at Mount Street Deli in Mayfair, a stroll around Regents Park followed by all of us gathered for a home cooked dinner at the kitchen table, and a cup of tea and treat (the no added sugar ones!), as we're watching a favourite TV program
Our next holiday will be... skiing in Courchevel in March, and this time with two(!) children, and Mum of course!
What's my karaoke song: "Brown Eyed Girl" - Van Morrison
Last thing at night I always... put in ear plugs
Plans for the weekend: celebrating Bear's 49th birthday by staying the night and having dinner at The Groucho Club
That's all for now,
Laters, gators!
xx
Pics from South Molton Street yesterday with Erik and JJ, who take their roll as uncles very seriously ;-) |

Postpartum Progress
For those who are unaware, this is what one week postpartum typically looks like (in other words about six months pregnant!)
