A beautiful kind of chaos..

Last few days have been somewhat chaotic.. With Mum arriving, Notting Hill carnival, Sean catching a stomach bug and vomiting all over the place, alcohol, our old bed sold on Ebay and collected, dinner and dancing at a local favourite hangout, more alcohol, Having to secure everything around the flat as Scarlett Grace is learning to crawl, lil man practising the piano with grandma, Sunday morning girls only promenade in Regents Park, packing four (!) suitcases for our holiday on Thursday, cuddles and baby laughter, Seany playing Lego Batman 2 at Erik and John's,  Bear and I sleeping on a mattress in the study as we're waiting for our new bed to arrive - which it finally did today - Chaos indeed but in a a beautiful form  ;-)

Every little counts

Ker-ching!
I got nearly a hundred quid - that's a lot of coins (and none were pound ones, only 1, 2, 5, 10 , 20 & 50p's)!

We would usually visit a supermarket like Sainsbury's in the O2 centre, and use the Coinstar Machines, to get rid of our coins  -  the only problem with this is that they charge you 8p or 9p per pound...

Until recently that is, when Erik told me about my bank's (Barclays) coin counting machine in Piccadilly Circus, who has a free one to use (for customers only though). The other day I put it to the test.

And all I needed to do was to type in my account number and sort code and then empty the bag of coins.  The total amount was then transferred into my current account - simply brilliant!

We made a pit stop at the playground on our way home

Breakfast!

Spinach, kale, cucumber and water - yum (eh...NOT)!

Visiting Bear's new office

Over the weekend we drove over to Bear's new office in the City (London's financial district) so that he could show us around the much larger space he has taken.  Although not quite finished yet, it's a beautiful office space in a period building. My favourite part was the very ornate entrance which reminded me Mayfair! It's also located a few minutes walk from the Thames, so we'll be sure to come back another time for some lunch at one of the nearby river-side pubs. Did I mention how proud I am of him?!

Ham Yard Hotel

Bear and I are big fans of The Firmdale Group of hotels so we were eager to try out their new addition, Ham Yard.

Located by Picadilly Circus, you still feel tucked away from the hustle and bustle when in their secluded courtyard. So far all is great here and we really loved the valet parking that was offered to us as we arrived :-)

Seven months

Scarlett Grace AKA Munchie (that's what "Munchkin" evolved into - sometimes it evolves even further to just Munch LOL!) turned 7 months on Sunday
S.E.V.E.N months already!! Scarlett Grace can now sit unsupported although not for too long or she'll tip over! But the sitting up now frees up both her hands for exploring and what's even more fun - clapping. Adorably she copies me when I clap my hands together :-)
She's reaching for things just out of reach, and eventually she manages to grab the things by rolling over.

If I look away, after placing her on a blanket on the floor, for no more than half a minute she has moved a couple of metres! It's now only a matter of a few of weeks before she starts crawling (just in time for our holiday, bah!).

Although she's mainly drinking formula milk, she's started eating solids in the last month, mainly Ella fruit pouches or rice cakes etc - but she does, of course, also wonder what EVERYTHING else tastes like too, and puts whatever comes her way in her mouth.. and this is a real challenge for all parents of curious little babas!
