October Opulence

With my glam squad Kat and Andrea at the brand new The Ivy Cafe St John's Wood - on the first weekend that it was open to the public.
It's the third outpost of the Ivy Cafe brand and looks pretty much identical to the one in Marylebone, only bigger. We had bubbles and lemon sole that was divine, in fab art deco interior, and perfectly dimmed lighting.
And to top off the evening we even got to meet the man himself behind Caprice Holdings, Richard Caring -
Fab Friday to say the least! 

New discovery - GBK loyalty app

Thanks Erik for introducing the Gourmet Burger Kitchen app! For those who don't know, it's a customer loyalty app that's very easy to use from your phone. 

Usually in the restaurant you get a table number and then go up to till and order. Now you can avoid the queues and "Order And Pay From Your Table" using your phone, and also customise the burger -  in my case choosing the "Go Naked" option (meaning no bun and extra salad). 

And by ordering through the app you get rewarded with free sides, milkshakes and even burgers. Works for take-away too if you don't want to sit in. Highly recommended. 

Saturday Stroll

After we dropped our 'zombie' boy at an early kids Halloween party , we strolled through sunny Maida Vale and stopped at the local gastro pub, The Elgin for craft beer (London's current hipster drink) and snick snacks.

This takes me right back to when I moved to London in the early 90s, and listened a lot of hip hop and Rn'B like Mark Morrison, 2Pac, Biggie Smalls and 112 etc. 

Bruno Mars' first release from his new album, "24K Magic" is simply fab, and referring to it he said: "You can call it my first single, but I call it the invitation to the party" LOL!
