Drop offs at holiday camps this morning.
Day time camps in Central London are quite rare and extremely expensive (but a life saver when you live in a flat with no outside space), and especially during the Summer Holidays. Just to give an example, and only for future reference as it will be interesting for the kids to read this as they get older to have some sort of awareness of the costs, for one day at camp from 9am-3.30pm they charge £61, and then you have to bring your own snacks and lunch. They only provide water! Piss take if you ask me, surely for that price lunch should be provided?!
I spread out the sessions evenly, with one or two each week (when we're not away on holiday) over the 8 weeks that the kids have no school, and thankfully after years of living in town, I've found the best ones.
Today I dropped Scarlett Grace in a local Montessori nursery here in Marylebone called Little Elves (we know the owner very well and she is happy to take on Munchkin despite that she's not a regular pupil there, and a fair bit older than the rest of the kids), and after that I Ubered it over to Camden where I dropped Sean at Holiday Academy, where he's been going most half terms and Summers since he was about 5.
This way I dont have caged tigers at home 24/7 that fight constantly, and trash the place that Ive just cleaned, but mainly it allows me for one full day to do errands and chores around the flat and as it is now, deal with builders and decorators here (preparing us to sell very soon, or to stay for one more year - either way we need to do up the flat a bit after 11 years here) that are exchanging our gas boiler to an electric one, putting in a brand new kitchen and making our sleeping loft cosier by laying a soft carpet over the wooden floors that look dull and lifeless.
Thinking to have the bedroom done when we're away to simplify things and hopefully it will work. Last Summer holiday for us is right at the end of August when we're off to Ibiza. More about that later. Now let's get back home to make sure these builders are not cowboys!

Would love to see more home interior stuff - maybe before and after pics? :)

S - Hello! Thanks for feedback, and yes I might just do that (although I'm trying to keep everything apart from our kitchen and living room fairly private on the blog).
Very best,
