Dinner n drinks

Out for an early dinner at the favourite local gastro pub (country/ski lodge style) with my girlfriend. Burger and chips is always a winner for us after intermittent fasting :-)

Off to the hygienist

This morning I finally dug out the two-tone wedge trainers (in black and cream/grey to match my latest handbag) with velcro strap detail, that I got ages ago. 

Yes its taken me forever to start wearing the ever so popular trend, and I'm not shy to say I've fallen victim to this fashion! 

How can u not love a hidden heel that gives you those extra couple of inches in height, yet with the comfort of regular flat soles?

Prague Pictures

A selection of pics from the three nights we stayed i Prague in the beginning of February.

We had a fantastic long weekend in the Czech capital, Prague recently. We went for Bear's birthday and met up with our friends, Vivien and Felix and their boys, Oscar and Dexter. 

Sean was at nursery school with Oscar when they lived in London and it was great to see them renew their friendship. 

We stayed at Kings Court Hotel which we can highly recommended! One night we had dinner at Viv and Felix's fantastic apartment (with picture postcard views of this beautiful city) and another night dined at Kampa Park, reputedly Prague's top restaurant - All in all a really memorable trip :-)

I just have to rave about this chicken salad from Zizzi - so good, and full of goodies such as goats cheese, butternut squash, courgette, lentils, broad beans and roasted seeds.

Hot stone massage

Tuesday Treat!

Yesterday I went for an hour's hot stone massage here in a Marylebone salon, which was heavenly! The feeling of the warm and smoothed, weighted stones really relaxed my overworked muscles, by increasing blood flow/circulation.The only thing I regret is not trying it sooner :-) 

Little House, Mayfair

With my Mum arriving on Friday, we left Sean in good hands for the night

I wore my lucky jeans (always had a blast when wearing them, hence calling them that!) and my new over the knee stiletto boots that Bear got me for Christmas

Champagne is served in crystal glasses in the private club, Little House - love it!

We always have a right laugh when we get together, and Friday was no different!

We had booked a table for six, for Andrea, David, Kat, Tim, myself and hubby. I had my usual breaded veal which is delish!

We later moved to the lounge area by the log fire to have so post dinner drinks 

Pretty steady on our feet me thinks, as we came home after midnight:-)

And so she's back!!

Destiny's Child is back!

This brand new (Pharrell Williams produced) tune with Destiny's child is pumping out loud in our flat this Saturday morning - love it!   Off to the Apple Store on Regent Street soon followed by a lunch somewhere nearby in Mayfair. Tonight's plan is is dinner, dancing with live music and belly dancers with friends :-)

Marking 6 years with Bear :-)

Friday Flowers
 Today I got a big bunch of beautiful flowers from Bear (and a love letter too, but it wouldn't be fair to post that!) to mark our anniversary. Not wedding anniversary but six years ago, to this very day,  is when Bear and I met for the very first time - 25th January 2007 - at Starbucks in Holborn.... We've sure come a long way since then ;-)

Healthy Espresso Martini

Finally I received the sugar free Kahlua syrup (after months of waiting as it's been out of stock)! I am a massive lover of Espresso Martinis, but the calorie and sugar content is quite high in them which can leave you feeling slightly guilty after indulging in a few -  Well, until now that is! 

Instead of adding the usual vanilla/and or chocolate liqueur like Galliano, Tia Maria or Baileys, I put the sugar free Kahlua which makes an absolutely delicious coffee cocktail, tasting just as the usual Espresso Martini, only much healthier :-)

Snowy Sunday

Last time we had settling white powder in the capital was around the beginning of last year, so guess if lil man (well.. mummy and daddy too!) were excited when we woke up yesterday morning, peaked out the window and saw thick snow?! 

Its a very rare sight in central London! 

We wrapped up warm, put on Sean his ski suit and and packed him off into the snow... and boy what a delightfully fun afternoon we had :-) Oh, see if you can spot the vintage classic Jaguar covered in snow - stunning isn't' it?!  

Mount Street Mayfair

Today Kat, Andrea and I  had a mixture of oysters, griddles prawns and dressed crab - seafood at it's best :-)

Scott's, set on Mount Street in the heart of Mayfair, just between Louboutin and Balenciaga - it simply just can't get any better than that :-)

It offers exceptional seafood and if you haven't tried this one before, you dont' know what your missing! Be prepared for a fairly hefty price tag, but it's so worth every penny! 

Me and my girls loves to come here for not just the food but for the uber friendly doorman, the stunning Oyster bar and having your glass refilled with bubbles without you even noticing LOL

The art deco décor  is inspiring ,and you are always bound to do some celebrity spotting. (today we sat next to TV cook and kitchen goddess Nigella Lawson and her very famous husband - head of global advertising agency Saatchi and Saatchi)

Its a decadent place and I can happily spend all afternoon doing this with my girlies (which I did LOL!)

A family affair

Despite today's  harsh (cold and windy!) weather, we headed out for a mission to find Sean a pair of trainers and to grab some lunch

Sean starts junior football on Monday with a coach from Little Kickers, hence the need to get him the right footwear.

- Once back after dropping Sean, I did 75 x 12kg kettle bell swings followed by a cheese and mushroom omelette.  Lunch in Chipotle with Andrea later :-)
