Diptyque
With the lazy days of Summer now drawing to a close, it's easy to start feeling a little melancholy. After all, we're saying goodbye to al fresco eating, all those fab garden parties and late sunsets..
But chin up and buy some candles! I just did, three of them in fact. The French candle company Diptyque makes the most amazing scented ones. And they really are a treat to give yourself to create a comfy cozy moment on the first Autumn evenings when the temperatures starts to drop.

Cape fear
Fabulous Friday! For tonight's dinner with good friends at Hakkasan Mayfair, I'm wearing my new cape, that makes any dull outfit look glam! Also note the inch that's been chopped off my hair, very pleased with it :-) |

Sean's first rugby match
On Sunday morning Sean had a trial for Regents Park Royals - the local mini rugby club. We weren't sure if he would enjoy it but at the end of the session the verdict was that he loved it! So we have signed him up for the season and this will become a regular Daddy/Son weekly bonding session!
Scarlett Grace and I came along later to cheer him on and then we all went for a post-match al fresco lunch at Cote Brasserie on Marylebone High Street.

A recap of our late Summer getaway - Turkey 2015
-We spent long lazy days relaxing in the sunshine and gentle sea breeze -sipped local rose wine late into the warm evenings -swam each day in the sea and in the hotel's two pools -strolled back to the air-conditioned room for a midday doze - ate freshly caught fish, prawn casserole (local delicacy), and delicious Turkish mezzes -went to the beautiful Palmarina where we yet again dined at Cipriani - did plenty of fun adrenalin rushed activities/water sports - had long island iced tea "sun-downers"with spectacular views at newly opened Mandarin Oriental - haggled with the street sellers in the market in the buzzy town of Bodrum -went to an open air concert in Yalikavak with staff we met at Nusr-Et Steakhouse ... and soaked up the serenity of the turquoise Aegean Sea lapping at our feet by our boutique hotel's wooden jetty. |
