Street Party

On Wednesday afternoon we went to the Summer fete in Connaught Village, just by Scarlett Grace's nursery. It's become a yearly tradition for us and the place is buzzing with it's live music, deck chairs, fairground rides, food stalls and the much loved Hyde Park dog show.

Supporting Sweden

When you ask Sean where he's from, he answers "Well I am half Scottish, half Swedish, but I'm a Londoner LOL!
And seeing that Scotland didn't qualify for the Euro 2016, it goes without saying who we support! "Totally Swedish" on Crawford Street here in Marylebone have got all the blue and yellow kits including flags and t-shirts -  if you're #TeamSweden like us that is!

BBQ garden party chez Shields

Having been invited back our good friends' beautiful North London home and their barbecue garden party along with other families and friends we know, we seized the warm weather (and massive outside space) by the horns, and indulged in Andrea and David's hospitality yet again.
This time the "excuse" for our get-together was the kick start of the European Championship 2016, and England's first game.
We arrived at 6pm, and a grilled feast of meats and seafood along with deliciously fresh salads were served and washed down with beer, rosé, Pimms, bubbles and Aperol Spritzers.
Well we simply ate (too much), drank (far too much lol), gossiped, laughed and watched the kids play for hours (with breaks only to eat and drink) and of course we watched England play against Russia.
At 1am we finally surrendered to the night as all good things unfortunately must come to an end ;-)
