Today was the first time Sean spent all day (8.30am-6pm) at nursery. Below is an extract from his daily book that his nursery nurse, Amy, fills in each day:
Lunch - Fish (few bites), rice and vegetable (ate almost all), banana trifle - few spoons
Sleep - 12.45- 2.00pm
Tea - Carrot sticks and hummus (licked hummus off), fruit scone
Nappies - 2 wet
My day:
Sean enjoyed reading stories this morning and helping Cormat to build towers.
He also did some drawing and we played with animals. Outside he rode bikes and helped me to sweep the leaves. At lunchtime he ate very well and went to sleep very quickly. He had a VERY GOOD first whole day :-)
Sean got a sticker for helping well at tidying up time
Woohoo, in the private dining room in Zuma, Knightsbridge with my Bear, my two brothers and their partners. This is my idea of heaven-only thing missing is my son! :-)
My Mum, my confidant and mentor, has taught me everything I know about bringing up children (and more!) and I find it so much harder when she leaves to go back to Sweden, since becoming a Mum myself.
I love the safe and comfy feeling of having her around, and she makes me so confident, like I can take on any obstacle that's being thrown at me. Already I am counting the days until she comes back in December :-)
Mum by Sean's nursery gates, dropping him off for the afternoon
Mum with best friend Jessica who came over for a weekend whilst Mum was visiting, here on our way out for a girlie night out in the heart of town
Pre drinks in the cosy court yard at Hush before dinner, where amazingly at the end of September, people are still dining outdoors
Fab gals, fab food and drinks, and who could've guessed that after eating, we all got up on the dance floor, to shake off those calories - a perfect ending to a perfect evening! :-)
How do you like my new coffee/tea glasses? Ive been looking everywhere, for a long time for just the right ones; heat resistant with a stainless steel holder that are NOT the typical Irish coffee glasses.
So guess my surprise when I found them in a local hardware shop today? I got four to test them in the dish washer and to see how I liked drinking from them. I just love 'em and will rush back to buy the last pair they had! :-)
...in Starbucks, wearing my new favourite fashion (riding) boots with a quilted waistcoat (that happens to be my old Burberry jacket which I had altered to have the sleeves removed).
Finally the good news we've been waiting for! :-) And for those who don't know, a creche is a temporary daycare for children and infants.
Dear Member,
As most of you will be able to see, we have started construction work on our new crèche. We aim to open the week commencing 11th October and are all very excited about the new improved area that will keep your little ones entertained.
The crèche will be open for Members children only and parents are asked to stay on the premises while their children are using the crèche.
