reminder of reasons 2 b cheerful

'A happy healthy beautiful baby' was one of my affirmations I wrote down, sometimes said out loud, and at times just silently rambled in my head, whilst being pregnant. And gratefully, that is just was I got! :-)

Right, that’s it. Enough with the doom and gloom. I just read the news, and its so bloody negative; A man who committed murder on an innocent 17 year old Swiss girl while out on bail for the vicious rape of another young foreign student, we’re all going to die from Swine Flu and then the constant nearing at women for putting on weight, or having (oh my gosh)…cellulite etc etc ...

Well, let’s try and buck the trend and be positive for the rest of the day, and preferably longer:

Here are few reasons for me to be cheerful this morning:

1. I have a beautiful healthy son whom I love immeasurably

2. .I am not returning back to work

3.. Bear & I are talking about getting married in Bora Bora next year

4. Bear is taking Sean for the vaccination today (so that I don't have to watch, it's torture!)

5. Bear is working from home so I am having the pleasure of both boys today

6. We are going to Sweden to see the family in a week on Fri

7. As Bear came back from the gym this morning he asked "what flowers would you like coz I'm buying you a bouquet today"

ok, well that's all for now. Remember to stay positive

With luv,

C

Cant live without right now

Surely you must have been out somewhere and need to clean your hands, but there are no sinks around? ANNOYING, I know!

I am using, and have been for quite a while (am a bit anal when it comes to hand hygiene), an anti bacterial hand gel that comes in a very hand pocket size 50 ml (claiming to kill 99% of bacteria). I have one in my hand bag hat I take with me wherever I go, and one in our kitchen.

And all you do is rub it onto your hands and then it drys in a matter of seconds. There is no need for water at all - genius!

These are becoming quite popular especially with the Swine Flu
Epidemic at the moment and are safe for everyone including children, who would really benefit from using this. You can buy them in any supermarket, chemist or Boots.

Addition to my shoe wardrobe

Somehow they don't look high as they really are

My sexy, yet cute 12 centimeters (nearly 5") heels

Here are a pair of new leather shoes I bought (on sale in Dune) on my way home from our picnic in Green Park on Sunday. I love the patent platform and heel, the peep toe and the leather bow on the top.

Can't wait to wear them on a night out with some real party wear, but I think they can also be worn, as above, smart casually with black shorts and a cute little top.

Baby Bear 8 months ♥

Having a bath (which is what he loves the most) last night

And so my little bundle of joy is 8 months today! Size wise he is more like a one year old, haha.

Baby Bears emotions are definitely becoming more obvious. He has learnt how to clap his hands when we say “one two three”(in Swedish), and sometimes if he does something cute that makes us all go “awwww”, he may repeat his act if applauded which is really funny to watch.

He has also started to show a little signs of separation anxiety. At times he gets a little shy or anxious around strangers, especially when tired or irritable, and when you're out of sight and not with him, he might become upset.

Even though he is not yet crawling properly, he still manages to get around, grabbing everything within reach. He leans forward to reach things, he can transfer objects from one hand to the other, and he likes to ‘bang bang bang’ a table or surface with a toy, spoon or anything for that matter.

Also, if we put him standing up next to the sofa or in his cot , he is able to hold himself up, hanging on for dear life and using the furniture for support.

Now, this newfound mobility means that Baby Bear is now entering the land of bumps and falls. These are an inevitable part of childhood, I know, and although my heart may occasionally skip a beat or two, I am trying to not get too upset and instead trying to enjoy watching him explore his surroundings and discover his limits.

Next move for me and Bear is now to buy safety items such as socket covers, door stops, door locks, corner cushions etc, to plan ahead for the next “bumpy” months.

On Tues my friend Sara and her bf Carlo came by to see me and Sean, and she brought this cute cardi from Baby Gap for Sean. THANK YOU !

My lovely Swedish friend Sara, who also lives in London. Here with Carlo (stole the pic from her FB a/c -hope you don't mind sweetie! ;-)

shoe porn

It’s not just the designer shoes that are being covered in crystals and other embellishments at the moment: these shoes are from Dune’s Black Sand range, and as you can see, they’re certainly not missing out in the “bling” department! :-)

I've been browsing the net all morning, in search for a fab pair to wear with my wet look/black shiny leggings, and came across these.
I really like the shape of these and the front of the shoe in general is really similar to the Miss Dior peep toes that have been popular for a while now. As for the colour, thats a nice luscious green suede although of you don’t like it, these are also available in red and black.

These are down to from £180 to £11o in the sale – get them from Dune - I know I will! lol

Cat and her caps

This is my second Ed Hardy cap

I am really girlie with my pink blog, pink laptop etc, that is for sure. But one thing that seperates me from the real girlie girls, is that I love wearing caps (and have done before I moved to London and way before the Von Dutch trend started)

Yesterday when in town, I finally found an ED HARDY (by Christian Audigier) cap I want, with rhinestone and in the colours that I've been after, i.e. white, black and pink. Pic of me wearing it to follow :-)

I've always been a big fan of caps, and here I am, on my very first day in London, wearing a cap (here on the underground)

Roller babies

Morning! Last night was not too bad for us considering we've got a baby whos teething. Sean woke at 4am and I gave him so teething gel and Calpol for the pain, and by 4.40am he was dozing again.

Perhaps some of you need a bit of cheering up this Monday morning? Or maybe not, but I believe we could all do with a bit of laughter anyway - it's good for our souls. Here's the wonderful new ad for Evian. Enjoy!

Maybe third time lucky? :-)

Sean and I in the hallway, just about to go for a walk in the park. This was the second attempt to leave the flat this morning, but first time around, once out through the door I noticed Sean had done a poo poo.

And now as I opened the main door the heaven just opened and it began to rain heavily! Might give it another try in a while as they do say " third time lucky" ;-)

Teething, round 2

I spy with my little eye...one.... TWO(!) white pearly things peeking through Sean's gum. Thankfully I'm not still breasfeeding because I'd be worried about my nipples! ;-)

Eye candy

Everyone's heard the expression 'eye candy' no doubt, and this time, it's almost literal. LOL.

These are the Autumn-Winter 2009 Womens Louis Vuitton , and are called the Louis Vuitton Tutti Sweety collection.

I am a huge fan of accessories and have one LV bracelet myself
(see here)which I use regularly, but these are not my kind of taste at all. On the left is the bracelet, and on the right a pair of earrings

The greatest love affair & a weekend with the in-laws

Sean is no doubt the greatest love affair in my life, here in his new Swedish footie outfit

With Mum and grandmother here, and now Bear's mum is down from Scotland, it will be all about the in-laws this weekend. Off to town now to have an al fresco lunch in the sun

With Luv,

C

Weekend finally here

Seany loves being tickled on his belly

My Mum and grandmother is currently in London for my brother's university graduation ceremony today. Yesterday I had them over for no, not coffee, but som G & T's lol
My gran might look old, but she certainly has a young mind.

I've just tried out what I'm wearing this evening and I'm excited to finally use my new wet look leggings. I've "toned" them down (about 6 months ago you could only buy these types in sex shops, haha!) with a black blouse with frills in the front and a long black cotton cardi, and that way, according to me, it doesnt look too OTT.
As for the missing ankle strap for the right shoe, it is there somewhere...hmm.

Love the black shiny leggings that's in fashion currently

at the hairdresser

Here I am, getting a heat treatment (love what my hair feels like after it) and a blow dry with my blow drying guru, Latvian Arthur.

As u can see, my little plaster Sean, always tags along with me whatever I'm doing.lol That way he becomes an asset, not a burden.

Oh, and all this in preparation for my brothers uni graduation ceremony/party tomorrow, which by the way my Mum and grandmother (who is currently on hol here in London) also will attend.

Read it and remember it

Evening! I just came across the below quote and its so good and spot on that I am itching to share it with you:

“For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time to still be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have. And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time and remember that time waits for no one.

So stop waiting until you finish school, until you go back to school, until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until fall, until winter, until you are off welfare, until the first or fifteenth, until your song comes on, until you’ve had a drink, until you’ve sobered up, until you die, until you are born again to decide that there is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination.”
