Paris for the day

We have booked lunch at L'Avenue on Friday 10th December

So, we are going for a little expedition in December - Paris for the day- such a novelty! :-)

We are taking the Eurostar, which is a fantastic and very convenient way to travel. It's slightly longer travel time than by plane, but the time and effort you save in not having to go to the airport and check in etc is well worth it.

We will arrive at 12.15pm and will go to L'Avenue for 1pm, for a very long (and boozy lol) lunch no doubt. Last December we went to the same restaruant and really had such a fantastic experience. This is where the really glam people go and therefore the best place for people watching.

It is in the heart of what is known as the golden triangle. That means the upmarket shopping area (Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, Givenchy) around Avenue Montaigne, Avenue Georges V, Rue Marbeuf and Rue Pierre Charon, in the 8th arrondissement.

We then plan to do some shopping, soaking up the Christmas atmosphere and then head off to take the train back home to London at 8pm. - Voila! :-)
