Ahoy!

We were thrilled to be invited to join Bear's friend Paul and his wife Lynn aboard their beautiful Oyster yacht, "Spellbound", and spent the day sailing along the coastline between Turkey and the Greek Islands in ideal conditions, enjoyed a delicious lunch onboard and a cooling dip in the sea. 

Then we sailed from Yaklivak all the way back to our hotel in Torba, anchored in the bay and invited them back for 'sundowners' and dinner at our hotel. A really fabulous way to round off our holiday!

Cipriani Bodrum

When we arrived at our hotel on our first day, we asked the reception to book a table at iconic restaurant Cipriani which has opened recently in the new Palmarina (as we had heard it could be difficult to get a table) in Yalikavak. 

So, on Friday evening we took at taxi, about 25 mins drive to the beautiful waterfront location, and after admiring the super yachts in the marina, we were given a very warm welcome, shown to a great table in the centre of the restaurant under the stars and then enjoyed several hours of fine dining (seafood risotto and lobster salad) excellent wine and plenty of people watching including Turkish and international socialites.

We had Sean with us (and so we didn't pop in to the Billionaire Club next door afterwards!), and the staff were super child friendly, even making up a little bed for him with a cushion and blanket when he got tired :-)

One thing's for sure - we'll be back! 

And so I've reached the halfway mark in my pregnancy!

Today I'm wearing a maxi kaftan dress with angel sleeves and a drawstring waist to show off my 20 week bump :-)

PREGNANCY STATS: 

How far along: 20 weeks

Movement: So much more now! I feel something almost every time I sit down or lay back, mainly after eating or drinking, and it a blessing each time

Sleep: I know it's because of shifts in my metabolism and hormones that I feel a lot warmer, but I'm becoming SO hot and sweaty in the middle of the night it's not even funny! And once waking up it can take me up to two hours before falling asleep again. This is probably the toughest preggo problem Im dealing with at the mo

Nails and Skin: ok

Hair: nightmare

Symptoms: Itchy scalp, boobies and bump. Heartburn - Sweet Jesus the burning pain is agony! Not being able to paint my toe nails without being in pain or at least very uncomfortable.  Also, getting out of bed is now harder than ever - I have to roll onto my side to get up

Cravings:  Spaghetti, baguettes, crisps and orange juice - i.e only carbs!

Terrific Torba ♥

So far we're only four days in to our fortnight holiday at this beachfront boutique hotel, Casa Dell'Arte, in Turkey's Torba Bay (which we stayed at two years ago), and we're really having a terrific time :-)

 It faces the Aegean Sea and has an incredibly romantic waterfront terrace and a private beach. Here are a few snaps from our family album:

Holiday read

I do love a good thriller/drama type book that has me looking for answers from start to finish, and this book is just that - perfectly accompanied by an iced coffee :-)

After a long day on the beach and in the pool, our exhausted little man has now crashed out! (the view of the ocean is simply to die for - must remember to book the same suite for next year!)
