Finally Friday! :-)

Good morning, Friday! Oh, how I have missed you! LOL
So far we've had brekkie, showered AND I have hoovered as well as mopped the whole flat. Now we are heading off to Knightsbridge to shop something for a friend who's just had a baby plus for another friend's baby's christening that's coming up soon. See ya!

Motherhood

As the capital was blessed with lovely sunshine yesterday, we went to Regents Park with a friend and her baby.
Yet again we fed the ducks (guessing that will be a part of our daily routine when weather allows, as the Summer is approaching) followed by an outdoor lunch in one of the park's restaurants.

Inna - Hot

Luv this newly released (March, UK) dance tune with Romanian girl, Inna. It currently tops the UK dance chart and I can't get enough of it!

A little interruption ;-)

Someone decided to wake up during last night's dinner in a restaurant. But with a blanket and Mummy's cuddles, baba went back to sleep in no time. PS- look how big he is in comparison to me, my little gentle giant ;-)

Easter

This Easter, we are indulging in these mouthwatering pink champagne truffles that come in a milk chocolate egg from Charbonnel et Walker, a gift from my brother

Easter is a funny one, a sort of pagan holiday for us Swedes. We too of course, have the eggs, the bunnies and chicks, which I suppose are all symbols of Spring and fertility. On top of that, we make a tree called a "pÄskris" which is usually a bunch of branches with white buds. Some will then choose to decorate it with small ornaments that are meant to look like little witches and with colored feathers.

Eggs too, that have been painted usually by the children, will be hung on the branches. Other than that, this holiday is quite similar to Halloween here. Little girls dress up as witches, and the children go from door to door to get sweets. Witches, according to legend, would meet the devil and ride their brooms in the week before Easter. People were very superstitious and hid brooms and anything witches could use in the week before Easter.

Well, the way my family here in London we will spend the next four days, will be nothing like the above I can asure you. Because Easter or not, it just means that the three of us can be together as a family, and that is all that matters. Me and my boys, spending quality time for a long weekend - what a luxury! :-)

Happy Easter, whatever it means to you

Happy belated birthday to me! :-)

A slighly delayed post but with my birthday happening whilst away on holiday, I havent' had the chance to post these two presents from my darling Bear. A monogram canvas toilitries bag from LV and a Canon G11.

As for the camera, I am without doubt a real beginner (tips are very welcomed!) and I can't wait to learn more about my new toy. I'm even considering a photography course at some point.

Photography is really an expressive form of art I think and what better way to capture your best holiday sights or very special moments with a good camera like the G11?

And just like Canon puts it - "Take stories, not pictures" - which is just what I would like to learn how to.

Ideal Home Exhibition

Just arrived at Earls Court to spend a few hours here. No doubt Bear will buy some gadget that he'll never use LOL!

I will be keeping my eyes open for a new coffee table.

And now a cup of java to get started. Happy Sunday!

16 months today

And so my darling boy is sixteen months today! His current favourite snack is short bread sticks. Just look how happy he he got the full box, and then he held out his hand to show it off to me as if to say "look what I got, Mummy!" :-)

New on the bathroom shelf

These two liquid soaps from L’OCCITANE have now moved in to ours. One in Bear's bathroom, and one in mine and Sean's.

Apart from Molton Brown, L'occitane's liquid soap is my favourite. The smell is so uplifting and gorgeous, it's also free from synthetic detergentin and it comes in a, bigger than most, 500ml very smart pump bottle.

Rain refuge

O
Baba in his new kids Converse I got him today

On our way home from shopping in Selfridges we had to stop at Patisserie Valerie in Marble Arch and take refuge from the heavy rain.
They are always catering for my indulgences, and today I had their fabulously good cappuccino and Sean a waffle cone without the ice cream.

Little Mr. Independent

Can't believe what a little Mr. Independent Sean is becoming! Two weeks ago, he was still crawling, and now he is coming with me to the shop buying lunch, walking on his own! But we all know what this means... A whole new world of trouble have just opened up! *help*

Colourful Courchevel

La Soucoupe - our favourite lunch restaurant up in the mountains, (near the top of the Chenus gondola), which has got atmospheric terrace with amazing views

Having a well deserved break at La Croisette, the centre of 1850

For those who are tired of skiing, there are other alternatives LOL
