Another day, another adventure

They are so close these two, and people usually tell me that they think Scarlett Grace looks like my mum alot.

And yet he fell asleep within 5 minutes of putting the chairs together for him to sleep on.

Bodrum's seafood is fab, incl crab salads, tuna skewers and locally caught lobster. We always start our meal with a Turkish "Shepherd" salad to share (finely chopped with red onions, lettuce, spring onions, peppers, tomatos and parsley and lots of olive oil, herbs and lemon juice).

Sean went parasailing for the first time and he simply loved it. Said it was the highight of his holiday. Our little champ!

Today we cracked on with things out in Amersham and every inch of Mum's bathroom has now been cleaned.

Inside Info

1. Big news … My mother arrived on Saturday (with a one way ticket!) and is now officially living in the UK.

2. Been thinking… It’s so blooming warm in London for November :-)

3. I’m feeling … happy, content and so grateful for everything in my life at the moment

4. Currently enjoying... watching my daughter learning new words daily, prepping for Xmas, wearing cosy cashmere bed socks, Starbucks’ new festive red cups and their gingerbread lattes.

5. Things I plan to do this week... go to see the Marylebone Christmas Lights being switched on (by Sophie Dahl) on Wednesday, and have mulled wine at the Swedish Christmas fair in the Swedish church Marylebone.

6. Last week... I had brunch with Andrea in Cecconi’s.

7. Currently listening to... this brand new tune by Coldplay – simply can’t get enough of it.

8. Can’t believe… my son is turning SEVEN next Friday!

9. Yesterday.. Mum and I went to her flat in Amersham and spent hours cleaning in preparation for the removal van (with all of her furniture) that’s coming in a couple of weeks.

After our hard work getting the flat ship shape, we took a well earned break at a local watering hole 

10. Spent too much time online lately... watching final season (3) of the U.S. TV series “In Treatment" - an intriguing and very interesting drama which gives a real insight into psychotherapy and every episode is an individual patients' session.

Today's new seasonal nail colour "Plum Noir" by Tom Ford

Oh Happy November! I'm so excited for this month I can't begin to tell you! Woolly jumpers, hearty food, sofa surfing, TV series marathons and Autumnal nail colours.  And not just that; London truly comes alive with it's own seasonal magic, lil man’s birthday is coming up, Winter Wonderland opens and my mother will officially relocate here permanently from Sweden - Wee hee!!!!!

Short but sweet! 
And so she's gone, but she will be back again in three weeks. Also, I'm happy to report that she loved the flat that we are in a process of buying (sole purpose is for her to live in it permanently to be near us and the kids). So the risk of putting in an offer on a flat she hadn't viewed, thankfully paid off!
With a little luck she'll be living over here before December - and boy what a Christmas pressie that would be!

Under offer!

Erik and I drove out out to Amersham yesterday to view a property for sale, as we are hoping that Mum is going to relocate closer to us.

We found an ideal two bedroom apartment with an outside space and a garage within 5 minutes walking distance from the train station (direct train approx 30 minutes to Marylebone Station) - this type of property doesn't come on the market very often, so without hesitation we made our formal offer - so exciting!

The English legal property system is strange and can be quite stressful as nothing is legally binding at this stage, and therefore we're not getting our hopes up too high - yet!
