Sun is out, the weekend is here, and we're listening to Calvin Harris' latest funky disco groove tune "Feels" feat Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry  - turn up the volume,  it's simply fab, LOVE it!  

Mum and Malibu

Whilst Mum is back in hospital (she was admitted again a few days ago due to an infection in one of the operation wounds), I'm cheering myself up with this new tune, Malibu, by Miley Cyrus - digging the folksy sound!

This takes me right back to when I moved to London in the early 90s, and listened a lot of hip hop and Rn'B like Mark Morrison, 2Pac, Biggie Smalls and 112 etc. 

Bruno Mars' first release from his new album, "24K Magic" is simply fab, and referring to it he said: "You can call it my first single, but I call it the invitation to the party" LOL!

Dolly Parton live

The day has finally arrived and Erik and I are about to watch Dolly Parton at the o2 arena. Warmed up with some rosé wine in a nearby bar amongst lots of concert-goers wearing cowboy hats and cowboy boots LOL (unfortunately I don't own a pair, so I'm wearing over the knee boots instead, with faux leather pants) So excited- she's a true legend!!!!

Hard to believe it's in central London, eh?! It's beauty together with the birds chirping simply takes my breath away, and I feel so grateful to more or less have this on my door step!
There are practically no one there at 7am on a Sunday, so it pretty much feels like my own back garden LOL! I relied on this tune, with a Danish synthesizer rock-band, to pick me up and get me in the mood for a run :-)

Inside Info..

1. I feel... so bloody happy and grateful - I know I've said it before but I'll say it again, my daughter C.O.M.P.L.E.T.E.S me!

2. This morning... Sean came to our bed and me and him spooned for like five minutes which is a long time for a 5 year old LOL! - supa dupa cosy :-)

3. So far today I have.. been to Boots and stocked up on baby stuff incl nappies and formula milk, helped Sean practise his piano homework, "hush little baby" (he's really improved and I'm so proud of him!), viewed a property for sale in Montague Square, and visited my friend Anna where I had a coffee and a catch up 

4. Fave tune right now.. "Waves" - Love this tune!!

5. Last night... I made a Thai inspired dish with minced pork served in lettuce cups for dinner 

6. Currently enjoying... the beautiful warm weather in London, and with that, my blush Spring coat that I've dusted off and brought out to wear

7. Thought of the day... I can't believe I have to start a new blog label (3-6 months) today, as Scarlett Grace is now three months old!

8. Last item of clothing I bought online.. a pair of ripped white denims - am yet to receive them, so watch this space! 

9. Plans for the rest of the day and this weekend: Later I'm popping down to Louis Vuitton's flagship store (beauty and perks of living in central London!) to hand in my wallet for repair (re-stitching), we're going out locally for dinner tonight, Apple store and Hamleys followed by lunch in town on Saturday and a leisurely Sunday at our country club

Little Brother

How have I managed to miss this guy?  L.O.V.E him! I recently came across this Swedish incredible singer-songwriter. With his acoustic guitar and style of music, he really reminds me of Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel. This song is too good to not share. Enjoy! 

Christmas music

Ever since Kurt Nilsen won World Idol back in 2004, my my love affair with him has continued, and this album is on repeat at home during Christmas.

Himmel Pa Jord ("Heaven On Earth") has got to be my favourite tune for this time of the year - Happy listening!

H.A.P.P.Y

Mum arrived on Tuesday, and she appeared to have brought Summer with her to London :-) What a privilege to be alive and healthy, have the sun's warmth on my skin, and my loved ones around me!! Here are some pics from the last few days:

'Hanging On' is the latest addition to my Power-Walk playlist on Spotify 

With sunshine pouring through our bedroom windows, I decided to start this Monday morning with a 5k power walk, getting the blood flowing. 

It's such a great way to amp up the energy levels!  Nonetheless, after four(!) years with the same trainers, I am now beginning to feel and see just how tired these running shoes are. Time to get new ones me think, and these pink and black ones are high on my wish list.
