Saturday morning

At 6.30am this morning, just as the sun was rising and everyone was still sleeping, I grabbed the opportunity to go for a run around the park, and simultaneously snapped these pictures on my phone - Regents Park is truly the most beautiful park in London and Im very grateful to have it on my door step!

As Bear is at the gym for an hour now, the kids and I are dancing to this new Shaggy tune which has a fab mixture of Arabic and Reggae vibes :-)

Later I'm going to the hair salon for a wash, treatment and blow dry.  Super excited to be going out with friends tonight for fine dining at Le Gavroche, a Michelin starred restaurant in Mayfair that I always wanted to go to, but just never got around to (during nearly 20 years in the capital!).

Oh and check out my little Madam this morning; Miss Curly Twirl haha!

Happy 1st birthday!

As i post this, the clock is only a couple of hours away from striking 10pm...

...which is when 12 months ago to this day, I was rushed in to delivery theatre at the Lindo Wing maternity hospital...

.....and where I had an emergency C-section after nearly 24 hours in labour
and I became a Mum to a beautiful tiny baby daughter..and tears of joy streamed down my face
Today we went to Benihana to celebrate the first year our little munchkin
Benihana is a fun and high energy Japanese steak house and sushi restaurant
.. which is located in Mayfair, just off Picadilly
and serves top notch fresh yummy dishes (beef in above pic)

the boys enjoyed celebrating our little lady's special day
The Benihana chefs put on an amazing show as they cook on a hot plate at the table
Wow - hot stuff!

Juggling knives proved very entertaining for the big kids as well as the little ones!

What a difference 12 months makes - one year ago just arriving in the world and today sitting up having lunch (with chop sticks LOL!)

1 year today my darling - a great milestone in your life (dont look so worried!) - we love you unconditionally xxx

First steps outside!

With only four days until Scarlett Grace turns one, we decided to go on an adventure outside. She wore skinny jeans, Sean's first Converse and her new coat from uncle Erik. And though a little wobbly at first, our little madam did so well  - a very proud mummy moment

Our fun-filled New Years Eve

At around 3pm we popped the first bottle of Champagne open and we didnt stop until 3am - i.e twelve hours later :-) Late afternoon we went to Winter Wonderland where we had plenty of mulled wine to keep warm, as Sean and the boys went on the rides. We didn't get back home until around 10pm (which is when WW closes anyway), where the party carried on. More champs, dancing (Erik and I in above top left pic), loud singing with the guitar and tambourine playing - need I say more- a truly wonderful New Years Eve with loved ones xxx

Life Lately

We spent 24 hours at The Grove Hotel and spa - a treat for the whole family

My Mum arrived....

....and so did our made to order trunk coffee table, after nearly six(!) months wait!

We had dinner in the newly opened and very good tapas restaurant on Crawford street called "Twist"
My much loved and missed pearl necklace came back in my possession after spending some time with my Mum in Sweden ;-)

Bear and I had our annual long boozy lunch at Scott's (I ate griddled prawns with creamed spinach), whilst mum babysat the kids
Mount street during Christmas is turned in to a romantic candle lit village and here we are sitting at  Scott's outdoor table by the large heaters drinking champagne and minced pies

Sean had a sleep-over at Erik and John's place
Andrea and I were invited to Louis Vuitton's so called "Apartment" (located above the flag ship store on New Bond Street) for some champers and nibbles

I had lunch with girlfriends (including Scarlett Grace!) at our fave hangout Cecconi's that was bustling with people as usual

Gerry visited
Munchie turned 11 months

Wandering around in Mayfair
Picturesque surroundings by The Connaught
My handsome little fella!

Erik and John came over for dinner. I cooked a lentil soup which was appreciated by everyone :-)
I had my eyebrows trimmed at Blink bar in Selfridges with the threading technique

Post shopping lunch at The Polo bar in The Westbury Hotel Mayfair

Last Sunday

Last Sunday we were invited to our friends' (Andrea and David that is!) beautiful house, for what now has become a yearly tradition.
It includes spending all day there helping out decorating their Christmas tree, drinking lots of bubbly, chatting laughing and eating a delicious home-made five course meal :-)
