From Bodrum to Blighty - July 2022

 

GOOD TIMES AND TAN LINES

We arrived back from our holiday to glorious weather in London so naturally we appreciated being a little tanned and able to wear shorts and short sleeved tops to show it off lol! 

We started off with visiting my mum, had an alfresco family lunch, visited the yearly Mayfair fayre where we had some Pimms, Scarlett Grace had a much needed haircut, we took the Uber boat from Embankment to the City for a stroll along river Thames and I bought a gorge twinning outfit from Primark for me and Scarlett Grace. 

May I introduce Ellen?

Ellen's man is in my hubby's network of financial advisors so thanks to them we were introduced. We first met back in February and not only is she from Norway (always a bonus with a fellow Scandi) but we are very similar in many ways, we immediately clicked and I now consider her as a good friend in my small inner circle. Here we went to Chiltern Firehouse for a long boozy lunch, popped in at the Biltmore Hotel Mayfair to check out their gorgeous new terrace and ended our evening dancing up on Soho House's roof terrace in to the small hours. 

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee

 

 Her Majesty The Queen now became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. 

Me and Gerry joined in the huge celebrations around the capital and went to Chiltern Firehouse, North Audley Street Party and rounded up our evening with a night cap on our balcony.

They stayed with us one night and their remaining time in a in Lancaster Gate Hotel

We went for longs walks all over London and enjoyed the beautiful weather..

... and stopped and admired Annabel's impressive xmas decorations in the shape of a gingerbread house. 

Autumn is deffo my favourite colour! 

And.. they'll be back again mid December when we plan to go to Winter Wonderland whoop!
