Me and mah gurl 💕

Little Madam insisted on going out "test driving" her new trainers that we received today. I got them from Ebay for £7(!) including delivery - they're second hand, but as new, hardly worn.
These would set you back at least £30 from Adidas. As the kids grow out of their stuff so quickly, it's become a challenge for me these days to find real bargains for them on Ebay. #LivingLargeForLess

Visiting uncle Erik

Yesterday Scarlett Grace and I jumped on the tube after her nursery and met up with my brother Erik at his new job (Doctor in cardiology) at St Bartholomew's (known as Bart's) Hospital, in the City.

He tells me that Bart's is a welcome change from his previous job way which was out east in Newham, kind of in the middle of nowhere which made it difficult to be spontaneous and go for a quick  lunch or drink after work..

The journey from Marble Arch to St Pauls is easy and only a 15 min tube ride, so I'm sure this will be the first of many lunches! Did I mention how wonderful it is to have family living over here permanently? 😍

Back to school in new winter uniform

The new term at Scarlett Grace's school/nursery finally started yesterday, and here she is, proudly parading her new obligatory Winter uniform.  After a whole month off,  it's safe to say both mummy and daughter are happy to get back to the usual routines!

Lark in the park

Every Sunday Bear takes Sean to play rugby in Regents Park (Regents Park Royals), unless they play an away game that is. Bear also does a little coaching with the team. And when the weather allows, like yesterday, Scarlett Grace and I naturally come and cheer them on.

New discovery - GBK loyalty app

My girls at the Baker Street branch yesterday

Thanks Erik for introducing the Gourmet Burger Kitchen app! For those who don't know, it's a customer loyalty app that's very easy to use from your phone.
Usually in the restaurant you get a table number and then go up to till and order. Now you can avoid the queues and "Order And Pay From Your Table" using your phone, and also customise the burger -  in my case choosing the "Go Naked" option (meaning no bun and extra salad).
And by ordering through the app you get rewarded with free sides, milkshakes and even burgers. Works for take-away too if you don't want to sit in. Highly recommended.
