Timeless Hermes

Did you know orange is the new black? ;-)

Today I dug out my very colourful Hermes silk scarf that is actually is one of the first things Bear ever bought me! Seven years ago that was, and still to this day it's a timeless piece in my wardrobe. Even more so now, when Spring/Summer 2014 biggest fashion trends are pretty pastels as well as very bright colours like canary and orange!

Swedish girlie night out & my over the knee boots

We're now heading in to town for various chores, and this evening I'm baby free, and will go out for some fine wine and conversation with four other Swedish girlfriends. Can't wait!

I've been waiting for the right temperature/weather so I can wear my over the knee boots. Last time I wore them was when Sean was only two weeks old (you can see it here), and today I'm combining them with a black (kilt style) mini skirt. Note the new Ed Hardy cap (yup, I did it again, this time brown colour for Autumn).

Good morning!

A cab is picking me up soon to take me to a Spa in South West London where I will be having a massage, and my brother is here to look after Sean.

I am wearing the same top as yesterday ( as I am not having a shower until I'm back home again since the oil they use normally has a quite unpleasant smell and it leaves you quite sticky) which is a a tunic from Vero Moda (Sweden) and a vintage leather belt above my waist, only today Im not wearing it with leggings but with white skinny jeans instead as the weather is slightly colder.

Now over to something completely different. Our friends, Gary, Sue and their two boys, are currently travelling in Sweden in their mobile home, a large camper van. We plan to meet up with them this weekend in the Skåne region, around my home town. You can look at their travel blog here. See how the British view us Scandinavians, our weather, our scenery, and read about their adventures in Northern Europe.

Sunny Saturday

Today I'm wearing black long sleeved tight top from GAP, white skinny mama jeans from Topshop Maternity, boots Kurt Geiger, sheepskin coat, belt from Hermes and on my arm is my Chole Paddington

It was the perfect weather to take Baby Bear out in the pram for a long walk along the canal to look at some of the most expensive houses in London

We stopped by our local market, Church Street, where you can find some great bargains and beautiful antiques

We ended up having lunch in Carluccios, St John's Wood. A favourite spot when the weather allows to eat al fresco

Happy bunny! :-)

Today's outfit black cashmere v neck jumper, pink-grey kilt and black patent boots

I can't begin to tell you how my spirit has been uplifted! Today I am a such a happy bunny! Last night was one of the best one since Baby Bear was born! :-) Between 12am - 7.45am he only woke up ONCE(!) at 4am, had NO STOMACH CRAMPS(!) and he fell asleep again, straight after I fed him! What is happening? Is his digestive system getting better?
Will be back later and write more about it, but now my brother, Susanna and her son Alfie are on their way here. We are going for a walk to Queesways' shopping centre, Whiteleys where I'm hoping to pick up something nice in the sale. Have a great day! XOXO

Friday night fun :-) and Colic :-(

Wearing my new over the knee black boots, topshop jeans, black French Connection shirt and black leather D&G handbag on Friday night

Friday night out with Bear was a real success. It really was like any other night out except that we had to squeeze it all in, in the space of three hours and be back home by 11.30pm. First we went to see a rock gig (Bear's friend plays the bass) at The Metro Club on Oxford Street followed by drinks at the uber trendy Long Bar at the Sanderson Hotel where I bumped in to an old friend. In fact, I saw many of the old faces there who were regulars when I was on 'on the scene'! Same old, same old....I am glad that my life has moved on ;-)

We have now tried Sean's drops for colic for 5 days, and unfortunately they don't seem to work. Sean is crying, mainly at night, and is at times inconsolable. It's really putting a strain on me and Bear and during the days I'm exhausted and am dreading the nights. I still would like to stay positive, hoping that it wont turn worse, as I've heard that the colic is at it's peak when the baby is 12 weeks old. *sigh* -

At the moment we are swaddling him, putting him in the pram and the bouncing chair, keeping the lights on and when everything fails to keep him quiet, I breast feed him which seems to be the only thing that calms him down. My sympathy goes out to all colic parents out there... Night night.

Today's outfit

Wearing long woolly cardigan with zip, grey beret and scarf, all from Gap

It's been a while since I did "today's outfit", and that's because I'm mostly in my PJ's or tracksuit these days. Tonight Bear and I are driving over to my brother Erik to have a little party, to celebrate his 21st birthday. Hope you all will have a nice evening, cause I'm sure we will :-)

Labour ward tour booked for Saturday

Wearing grey roll neck oversized knit with elbow length batwing sleeves from Primark, white skinny jeans, Topshop Maternity, Russell & Bromley patent boots & Chloe handbag

Porchester Terrace in Bayswater
Whiteleys Shopping Centre, Queensway

Ama and a sleep deprived me earlier today at the Waffle House (with hideous interior AND terrible service) on Queensway

Left home early today to meet Ama in Queensway. I took some snaps on my way there as I walked both there and back. Am now exhausted to say the least and can't wait to have an afternoon nap soon. My pubic bones are stretching and it's really painful.

They called from the hospital ward where I'm giving birth and said a couple had cancelled for the tour of the labour ward on Saturday and asked if we would like to come. Have already been there once, in the beginning of my pregnancy, but would like to refresh my memory now as it's getting close, so I confirmed with Bear and said yes. This time I will be more alert I think and will also know the right questions to ask.

After rain comes sunshine

Today's outfit is denim dungarees from Sweden, black top and tights from H&M, Gap scarf and over the knee (doesnt show when knees are bent) black patent boots Russell & Bromley and handbag from Chloe
Just got back from a lovely walk in the park with Susanna and her baby boy Alfie. Talk about volatile weather here in London! One minute its a glorious day and the next it's pouring down with rain. We managed not to get wet cause we sat in-doors.

Bear is working from home today (and it's so lovely to have him here ) and today of all days, when he is not in his office in his suit, they called him from Sky News and asked to interview him about the banking crisis and so unforutunately he wasn't able to do it.
He normally does interviews over the phone so this would have been a first experience with TV broadcasting, and I would have so loved to watch him on the screen. Maybe next time? :-)

IT’S GOOD TO BE ALIVE! :-)

London Zoo in the background

Our late Indian summer continues!!! Another beautiful day with crisp Autumn air, bright sunshine and not a cloud in the sky!

We therefore decided to go make the most of the weather and once again, we went for a long walk - this time around the outer circle in Regents Park with stops at various places incl a bakery, the Sherlock Holmes Museum, London Zoo and of course I mustn’t forget to mention the four times we stopped for me to go to the toilet.

What used to be a power walk has now become just a stroll in the park - nevertheless it was lovely being outside in nature and it reminded us that it’s good to be alive.

Temptation at the bakery, wearing tracksuit bottoms Juicy Couture, white longsleeved top H&M, brown padded down waist coat from Esprit, brown suede Gucci loafers and an LA baseball cap from a stall on Venice Beach, LA.

This is me this morning, before and after shower. Am in a hurry, off to town, but will report back later. The sun is already shining over London, 20 degrees is expected today :-) Have a wonderful start to the weekend. Puss!

Today's outfit

Today I'm wearing white long sleeved top H&M, beige parka with hood from Primark, topshop jeans, ballerina shoes form LK Bennett and handbag from Prada.

lounging in Ama's kitchen

Irresistable! Who-the dog or Ama? You decide for yourselves! ;-)

Bear dropped me off at Ama's this morning at 8am as he was driving past there anyway, going to a workshop/seminar in Berkshire.

We had breakfast and were hanging out in her kitchen, she booked her trip to Monaco (lucky her!) for Friday and at one point I dozed off on her sofa! Exciting, eh? :-)
I am so extremely tired these days and the only explanation I have is being pregnant, but I guess we'll have to wait and see the result from the blood test. It might show that I have amenia or am iron deficient..

She later persuaded me to go for a walk which I'm glad we did, because I haven't had much exercise lately. On our walk I saw this irresistable dog and by the owner's permission, I took a picture. Isn't it gorgeous?? Doesn anyone know the specific breed?

It's grumpy corner here this morning

Today I'm wearing top & trousers, both Gap maternity, scarf H&M L.O.G.G. Kids, brown suede loafers from Gucci

Just been on the phone to Hewlett Packard re my laptop which I handed in last week for repair for the second time (for the same problem; OVERHEATING) since it was bought in December last year.
Not only do they keep it for approx 10 days at a time (am currently using my old one which feels like it's from the stone age despite it only being 3 years old!), they replace the hard drive which means all my stuff is wiped off it. Not that I haven't backed it up but its just all the hassle that comes with it.....
Anyhow, they are now saying that the letter P is loose and they will charge £265 to fix it as they'll have to replace the whole keyboard. Are they insane? It should still be protected under the one year warranty but they claim it doesnt cover hard ware problems! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!! Ive had nothing but problems with that laptop since I bought it so I think it's a disgrace by HP to moan about fixing the letter P as a nice gesture for me. I'm so writing to Trading Standards...

Off to Oxford street now for some Sean Shopping to cheer myself up. Might just treat myself to a Frappuccino as well! :-) Will post pics of anything I might buy. See you later! Puss puss

Sunny afternoon in the countryside

Arriving at sunny Stoke Park wearing a linen tunic from Gap, vest & leggings both H&M, handbag Burberry and glasses D&G. Lunch was toasted ciabatta with prawns, avocado and rocket and it was yummie!

Frappuccino

Wearing shorts from Mexx, tshirt H&M, cowboy boots from Camden
and glasses Gucci 2008.

Today I had a sudden urge for Starbucks chocolate cream chip Frappuccino with whipped cream. For you who don't know, it is a blend of ice and a mix of coffee, water, milk, and various syrups. The result is a beverage that is a little icy but with a consistency that is similar to a thin milkshake. Only 498 (!) calories, but once you have a pregnancy craving and want something, you gotta 'ave it - And boy was it nice! :-)
