Snow suit for skiing hols

I love H&M! Got this warm fleece-lined padded snow suit for our upcoming ski holiday in March. It's both wind and water proof, very pretty cerise pink and on sale for just  £12(!)- a real bargain! 

Baby's first Christmas

Today's baby pics

My little doll, now seven weeks old, lounging on her new bean bag. You can tell in these pictures that she's put on quite a lot of weight in the last couple of weeks, mainly on her cheeks and arms, and it's quite obvious that she's lost her curled-up newborn look.

I've started notice her making the beginnings of conversation in the form of these adorable coos and gurgles. And let's not talk about when she looks me straight in my eyes and gives me smiles - it truly melts my heart!

THIRTY WEEKS

I'm now three quarters of the way through the pregnancy, I can't believe how close it's getting! According to my pregnancy app, my baby girl is actually fully baked on the 21st December, even though the due date is not until 11 January.  

Symptom wise, the exhaustion I experienced in the first trimester has returned in full force, so I've re-welcomed a daily nap into my routine.

Also I'm suffering A LOT of pelvic pain.  Getting up from a sitting position makes my eyes water!

Yeah I know, pregnancy is a wonderful thing, and I'm grateful don't get me wrong. Just the thought of having a little bean growing in your stomach, is just incredible! And touching your tummy, talking to your unborn baby is very special and most likely you feel absolutely fab…... for about eh... four months! 

Apart from the unbelievable highs, you also have to put up with the emotional hormonal  side, and let's not forget all the physical changes your body goes through...

I am lucky enough to not have any stretch marks, but Holy Moly I am turning blue! My veins, mainly on my right thigh, looks like they're about to explode! Hopefully they will go after giving birth.  My feet also puffs up in the evening and stays like that until first couple of hours in the morning. 

Ok, enough ranting, for now anyway - I feel all I do is complain, but I can't get over the fact how different the pregnancy is this time around. One thing that cheers me up though, is buying clothes for my baba, and here is my latest purchase:

New & noteworthy: baby snowsuit

My little girl will probably be born during the cold month of January, hence she'll need a snowsuit to keep her nice and warm.

I choose this particular one as it has very handy fold-over gloves at the end of the sleeves, and the colour combination of  pale pink and grey is just so pretty :-)

New and noteworthy: Burberry for kids

I simply couldn't resist getting this uber cute double breasted classic trench coat (with the nova-checked details on the lining and under the collar), but the smallest size they had was 12 months, so it's gonna have to sit a whole year in the wardrobe before being used, but hey ho..

- The perfect chic piece for my future fashionista ;-)

New moses basket on rocking stand and cable knit blanket

There are quite a lot of items to consider when you're expecting a baby. Some things I consider must-haves, some are would-be-nice-to-have and some not-at-all-necessery. And for me, the Moses Basket is definitely a must-have!

I used a Moses Basket for Sean, and what I really like about it is that it is portable. He could be getting a bit tired downstairs, so I would then gently put him down in the basket on it's stand and rock him to sleep in it. Then I'd easily carry it upstairs to our sleeping loft, without disturbing him the slightest.

Once they outgrow it, it makes a great kids' toy basket, or like this time around, a baby doll bed for when my little girl will be a little bigger :-)

And this is our new Moses Basket, that now sits in our front room. I also bought the softest prettiest little pink cable knit blanket for it. I makes me so happy just looking at it!

After our news on Friday, I just couldn't resist doing a tiny bit of shopping for our baby girl  :-)

No Fear

Sean in his new 'No Fear' one-piece, for our upcoming annual skiing holiday in March.  He wasn't very keen on trying it on, and I just about managed to get him to smile by bribing him with a biscuit :-)

DIY

BEFORE: 

Very girly shoes (there was nothing even remotely close to these in the boys' section!) with silky laces and a bow on the back. Not an option for my Seany!


AFTER:

I really fell for these tweedy and wintry looking shoes, Converse style, with a soft fluffy inner lining.  
 I just swapped the laces with black textile ones and removed the bow.  And voilà - now I have a pair of trendy (will look so cool with his black biker leather jacket) shoes that will keep my little fella's  feet not only warm but stylish! Oh, and I paid only £3.00 - now that's what I call a bargain!

Even though I have only just bought Sean a new jacket for Spring, as I walked past Benetton's window today I spotted this trench coat and cap, and couldnt resist the temptation yet again! Doesn't he just look so smart the little handsome devil?!

Alterations

This morning I am puttin elastic hems on Sean's Ralph Lauren trousers that is a gift from my Mum's friend Jessica.

It's a great solution if you have trousers that are either too long or too wide, and all you need is an elastic band for each leg and a very large safety pin.

Trapper hat

Here is Sean's new trapper hat, a birthday pressie from his uncle Erik. Not only extremely stylish (and trendy with the skull print), but also very practical and cozy keeping him warm against the bad weather outside.

I can always rely on my brother to get him the coolest gear :-)
