This is how "they" should b dealt with

Sometimes when you open your inbox, you read something that is unpredictable and interesting. Like this story. And supposedely its completely true...

This scene took place on a British Airways flight between Johannesburg, South Africa, and London, England. A white woman was seated next to a black man. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air hostess.

"You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat."

"Stay calm please," the hostess replied. "Almost all the places on this flight are taken. I will check if something is available."The hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later."Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seats in Economy Class. I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is no seat in the Business Class either. All the same, we still have one place in First Class."

"Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued. "It is not usual for our company to permit someone from Economy Class to sit in the First Class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone sooooo disgusting."She turned to the black guy and said:

"Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in First Class."

At that moment, the other passengers, who'd been shocked by what they had just witnessed, stood up and applauded.

Stupidity and sarcasm

Here is something I noticed today, crossing many streets this morning as I was walking from home, all the way to Piccadilly Circus:

You know when you go and push the button at the pedestrian crossing. PLEASE tell me why, even RIGHT after I push it (and people around me see me push it) do the same people feel the need to push it it again?

We are all walking the same way across the same crosswalk. Do they not think I know how to push a simple button correctly, so they push it again? Same scenario applies to lifts (see above).

If the floor you are going to is already lit up, why push it again? I know it is probably just a habit or human nature, but still. It annoys me. Please enlighten me....

The Proposal

Over the weekend I watched "The Proposal". It turned out to be one of the better romcoms I've seen in a long time (with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds i.e. husband to Scarlett Johanson).

In this now-famous kneeling on the pavement scene (above), just check out the lovely leather tote from Prada, and how can one miss the Louboutins she's wearing?

Well apart from all the fab gear Sandra gets to wear during the movie, it's the perfect chick-flick and I would recommend any girl to take her friend with her to the movies to see it.

Roller babies

Morning! Last night was not too bad for us considering we've got a baby whos teething. Sean woke at 4am and I gave him so teething gel and Calpol for the pain, and by 4.40am he was dozing again.

Perhaps some of you need a bit of cheering up this Monday morning? Or maybe not, but I believe we could all do with a bit of laughter anyway - it's good for our souls. Here's the wonderful new ad for Evian. Enjoy!

Most depressing day....

Good morning! I have just spent the last half an hour trying to change our bed linen with one hand and holding Baby Bear with the other as he refuse to be put down.

You see, when I lifted my son from our bed this morning to go and change his nappy, I found that he had pooed in our bed! The nappy had somehow slided and the poo had gone through to our bed - Charming, eh? :-)

According to BBC news and other online news sites, in fact, it's being talked about on every news channel; today - January 19, 2009 - is apparently the most depressing day in HISTORY, say experts!!!!!

Monday is regarded as the worst day of the week anyway, and with cold weather, fading Christmas memories, Christmas credit card bills and broken New Year's resolutions. Fears over job security, increasing debt and the house price collapse is supposedly making this year the toughest yet.

I refuse to let the above get me down, and therefore, I thought I'll post this hilarious clip to bring a little laughter to you all, on this depressing day!

Happy Monday

XOXO

Inducing talks and washing advice

Went to see my consultant yesterday evening. We discussed being overdue and how I'm really starting to feel impatient about when my baby is finally going to arrive.

I'm faced with a choice between waiting and continuing to let nature take its course or making plans to have my labour induced. We decided to make another appointment to see him on Monday and if Sean hasn't come by then, we will discuss it further.

He told me that if I was having my baby in France, I would have been given a different due date, one week later, and that I should try and relax about it all (sure, very easy indeed!!!) ;-)

And here's a funny washing advice I stumbled across. BYE 4 NOW xoxo

I've had a bad night last night, filled with hunger, baby kicks, heartburn, restless leg and numerous visits to the toilet, so I thought what better way to start the day than watching this clip showing these adorable quadruplets? If they can't make you laugh, nothing can!! Puss
