Sunny afternoon

Today the weather in central London was too good to miss. Alina and her daughter Olivia met up with me and the little man for a fun filled and sun filled afternoon in the park :-)

Today's delivery

When we went to The Ivy for dinner last week, we came across this gorgeous pink champagne that we both really liked so much. In fact, so much so that we ordered a whole case of it! Just in time for the weekend, eh?

Pimping my bathroom ;-)

...no, not really LOL.! But this little cosmetic bag has recently moved in to my bathroom to match my toiletry bag

Snippet of my day

My (not so little anymore!) adorable boy - I love him more than any words can describe!
Sean makes me feel like such a proud Mum, and really it's just the greatest feeling

Our weekend in pics

We always let Sean out of his pram in the park, where he can run freely without having to worry about the London traffic and simultsaneously get some exercise

We stopped by the bridge to feed the ducks below
Watching new favourite; 1930's "Three Little Pigs"

Father and son went swimming whilst Mummy looked on

Higher, Daddy, higher! (spot the huge aquarium in the background)

At the casual child friendly restaurant at Stoke Park.
-It takes real focus for a two year old to put his chicken nugget on to the fork :-)

Happy anniversary!

Happy Anniversary

Tonight, to celebrate our four years together, we have a table booked at the very exclusive restaurant 'The Ivy"

Bear;

What I love about you the most is your thoughtfulness.
For helping me on my spiritual road and always staying positive when I worry.

And for the countless little things you do for me each day (pls don't ever stop serving me tea in bed!)
I love you for the dreams you've helped to make come true and for our future goals you are planning to achieve with me. And for being the best Dad to Sean that you can be.

Lets all the happiness we've known through these four years, to continue through the years ahead - but each happier than the last!

Happy Anniversary my darling. I love you!

With affection,

your Rina

Setting the record straight

In Starbucks just now, for my daily cappuccino

I should have gathered that my fairly unusual current craving of pickled gherkins would spark rumours that I am pregnant (LOL!), but I can confirm that I am definitely not. Nor do I have any intentions of becoming pregnant in the near future. Just so you know! X

current craving

This is my third (still unopened though) jar of pickled gherkins in the space of one week!

Photo wall collage

I've spent this afternoon creating a photo wall collage in our office, of pictures in black and white frames. Stay tune for more, as I'm hoping to put up at least twice as many!

A wee cat nap

Catching up on lost sleep this morning as our Sunday lie in was cut short (we had to go to the hospital with Sean first thing - but at least he does not have an infection and doesn't need antibiotics)

Leisurely lunch

Today we went for a bite to eat to the newly opened local gastro pub The Grazing Goat

The DVD player always works as a useful diversion when Mum and Dad chat over lunch

Bear opted for the organic burger (with a little help from me!)

It was child friendly with high chairs and plenty of space for our larger than average pram

We both agreed that we will definitely revisit "The Goat", and with plenty of outdoor seating, it will be great for al fresco dining in the Summer

Happy Friday!

Sean this morning, still suffering from runny nose and chesty cough

Today I plan to hoover the flat, drop Sean off at nursery, get my hair professionally blow-dried, go grocery shopping, make prawn egg dill sandwiches (Scandinavian style) for dinner (and try and resist a cold glass of crisp white wine!) and watch a dvd, The Tourist, with Angelina Jolie with the man, curled up in bed.

And with that, I leave you with some food for thought:
"Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it." - Groucho Marx

HAVE A SPLENDID WEEKEND! XOXO

confession

Today, nearly 35(!) years of age, I have been to my first ever gym session. The sweaty equipment has always put me off, and I've also always felt that I'm not really a gym person, preferring the outdoors for exercise.
Nevertheless, my brother took me, so I wasn't worried about making an arse of myself lol. And with plenty of disinfectant hand gel afterwards, I managed fine.

A lot of people have assured me I'll love it, I can't live without it and it becomes part of you and your routine and that I will get this 'high' from going there.

So, did I love it, did I experience that feeling of 'high' afterwards. Well what happened to me is that I didn't really love it, but I didn't hate it either.

Once we were back home I felt nauseous and had a dreadful headache and had to lay down for an hour. haha. What a wuss I am! And I am already aching and dread to think what the next couple of days will be like. Will I ever go back? Ask me in a few days. Watch this space though! :-)

Let's start the day!

I'm starting this Tuesday with a royal blend tea from Fortnum & Mason, together with my fist issue (out of my 12 month subscription) of Good Housekeeping. Right up my street this mag is LOL
