Well hello, Turkey - see you soon! :-)
In less than a week we will be here, and to say I am looking forward to stay at this boutique hotel beautifully located in the Torba bay, would be a major understatement!

Birthday bash on the river
On Saturday we were invited to a black tie event (hence Bear wearing a kilt) by Bear's client Dr. Brian Kelly. A retired doctor who once accompanied members of the Royal Family around the world as the official royal medical attendant.
The whole thing took place in his back garden that in Chiswick, that led down to the Thames, where they had put up a huge marquee, hired a catering company as well as entertainment. It was such a lovely setting that allowed us to watch the boats glide past on the river whilst the champagne and cocktails flowed.

Friday Fun
Grilled squid with wild rocket and red pepper sauce - gorgeous, like the rest of the food we had
King prawns was my choice of main course, and it came with samphire (apparently known as the asparagus of the sea!) that I really adored and really can't wait to have again.
A little merry to say the least, 2 glasses of Prosecco and a bottle of wine later! :-)

Waving at Daddy, crashing markets & girls night out
Sean's spot for waving at Daddy when he leaves for work, and for when he comes home in the evenings.
This morning Bear rushed off to deal with very worried clients as the markets are crashing again, but I definitely won't let that dampen my spirits as I have a girly night out tonight to look forward to.
Happy Weekend everyone!
XO

An underground adventure (not!)
Yes, its rare; finding me using public transport, and also it being considerably empty as in the pic. Reason being is mainly because the crowds get a lot less after lunch (2pm) until 4.30pm. With temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius in the carriages, I strongly recommend anyone to avoid the tube .
Sean, however seemed unfazed by the heat and loved the whole experience. The joys of childhood, eh?

A snippet of my morning
Starting this Friday morning with a strawberry protein shake and a little read in my new book. It's by the famous guru and my personal hero, Jo Frost, AKA"supernanny", whose techniques and practical advice I apply to my family's everyday life.

Random holiday snaps
Strolling along the pedestrianised town centre
Kick starting the first day of a Summer festival as well as my Dad's first day of a long holiday, with a cold pint in the temporary beer tent in my home town's small square
Sean grew very fond of his uncle Henrik during his Sweden visit, and insisted on sitting with him in the large people carrier taking us in to Bar-B-Ko, undoubtedly our fave restaurant in Kristianstad, where we later had dinner
Mum is glowing from the sheer happiness of being surrounded by all her three children
A little merry Erik, after one too many Irish coffees
Bear and Henrik get on like a house of fire
One warm evening we had a girlie night with pre drinks and take away food on Mum's terrace before hitting the town
Love was blossoming
Lounging, the day after the night before in Henrik and Lisa's house
The warm evenings tempted us to go in to town several evenings and here we are listening to a live band and enjoying each other's company accompanied with loads of Swedish vodka lol
Mum sitting proudly in between her two boys
Not only to his Mum and Dad, but also to Sean himself, has Grandma's quiet and peaceful back garden and terrace become place of cheerful harmony
Bear is such a book worm and took every opportunity to sit in the hammock and read
The whole family gathered for a Swedish traditional dish of hearty large meatballs, mashed potato and gravy, pickled gherkin and lingonberry jam
the most gorgeous home made burgers were the perfect hangover cure for us
