Happy 4th birthday Sean!

Today my baby, my greatest achievement, is turning four years old! Erik came to congratulate him this morning, and now we are heading out for lunch followed by a visit to the London Aquarium. Bear has taken the afternoon off work so we can all be together as a family on our boy's big day ♥

Swedish xmas fair in London

Today was the opening day of the annual Christmas fair at the Swedish church in Marylebone.

Our tradition is to start having a 'varm korv' (hot dog) before approaching the other stalls with sweets, mulled wine and gingerbread snaps, or you'll struggle to resist the temptations you're surrounded by!

I thoroughly recommend it, even for the non-Scandinavians. if not to pick up some traditional Swedish food, drinks and festive decorations, then to just pick up the Christmas spirit! :-)

Molton Brown

I'm really pleased with the soap stand in stainless steel that I just got from Molton Brown.  It's designed to hold two bottles (I've chosen one hand wash and one hand lotion) and it's looking very sleek and stylish!

New & noteworthy

• This the early xmas pressie that was hidden in one of the shopping bags last week. A down-filled puffer jacket with a hood, detachable fur trim and a waist belt.  Hopefully it should keep me warm and looking stylish at the same time.

A snippet of our weekend

Friday we sat outdoors under the heaters at The Portman, one of our great local gastro pubs, and enjoyed a girly chat and some wine

Beautiful 'Mamma' - my mentor, my pillar, my confidant and best friend 

Dining on Saturday evening at Texture and celebrating my brother's 25th (yet again lol)

Hubby looked delicious in his new red skinny jeans (Pic doesn't do colour justice - taken with mobile phone hence the "alien" eyes too!)

The restaurant had stunning high ceilings and lovely decor

We sipped on Chassagne Montrachet - a strong contender in my fave wine category

As the icing on the cake, the evening ended with a birthday treat for Erik, with compliments from the chef :-)

Guess if I was surprised when Bear and Sean came back from the library on Sunday with my Mum! Little did I know they took a detour to Paddington station to meet her off the Heathrow Express :-)

  Bear had arranged to cheer me up, as I've been talking about how much I miss mummy lately - and then flew her over here from Sweden, completely without my knowledge! Haven't I got the best hubby in the world?! ♥♥♥

Happy Weekend!

Beautiful weather earlier today hence me wearing white denims :-)

1. Today I feel... optimistic and I'm beginning to look forward to Christmas!

2. This morning... I had two toasted slices of soya & linseed bread with a mashed up avocado and black pepper 

3. Looking forward to... going to a Michelin starred (Scandinavian influenced) restaurant which Gordon Ramsay raved about in one interview; Texture, with Bear, my brother and his boyfriend next weekend

4. Last night... I made a soup with leftover veggies and chicken stock (1 leek, 1 head of cauliflower and 1 head of broccoli plus lots of garlic) - Bear, my biggest fan LOL, said it was restaurant worthy! 

5. Currently enjoying... wearing cosy knits, chunky cardigans, scarves and gloves 

6. I recently learnt... that someone has awarded me on her Top London Blogs by Swedes-list! I am feeling utterly flattered! :-)

7. Latest perk... a corporate hospitality invite by BlackRock to The Killers concert at O2 on 16th November

8.  Plans for this weekend: Going out locally for a beer and a curry with my boys tonight and to look at some beautiful cars tomorrow at the Regent Street Motorshow

Brrrr!  The strong winds are making it feel so cold outside! We got ourselves warmed up with a hot chocolate, after a playdate in Hyde Park with my very good friend and her son :-)
