Burberry shopping today :-)

Today is the most gorgeous day in London (currently 20 degrees!) and I decided to make the most of the sunshine and walked (carrying an extra 10-11 kilos that is) all the way from Marylebone to Picadilly Circus.

On my way there I bought some healthy take away, sushi from Itsu (above), and had my lunch in the park in St James', very near to where Ama lives, whilst waiting for her to get ready and pick me.
We then went on to Burberry where we had been invited to the staff sale and I bought the following; 1 pair of ear muffs for winter (cute - I know!), 1 black handbag and 1 white bomber-style jacket, see below: (click on pics to enlarge)

What a great start to the weekend it has been. Can't wait for Bear to come home from work now. In the meantime I'll be watching Denise Richards (ex wife of Charlie Sheen, serial shagger) "It's complicated" on E! channel. Have a fabulous weekend, I know I will! :-) kiss kiss - puss puss

Welcome Weekend! :-)

It is Friday and I am itching for the weekend to start. Apart from just looking forward to relaxing and spending quality time with Bear, we are going to the Baby Show in Earls Court. :-)
I'm a bit disappointed though, that they are charging an entrance fee of £15.50, seeing that we're going there to spend money...but I've found out that you can get 20% off the entrance via Bounty which I'll be doing.

Apparantly there will be informative talks including on baby nutrition plus experts on breastfeeding, baby allergies, pre and post-natal fitness and supposedely huge savings on various things.

We are yet to buy a moses basket, car seat and a changing station.

Men; from a different planet?

Had a visit from my friend Ama today. Three hours, two pots of tea and a whole swiss roll cake later, she has now left. We just sat and talked about everything and nothing, but mainly the conversation came back to this particular species called men.

Almost everone would agree that men and women are different, how different though, is still uncertain for most of us.
But I think that through understanding how completely different we are, (not only do men and women communicate differently but they feel, perceive, think, react, respond, love, need etc differently) then we'll find new ways for making our relationships successful. But to think and expect they would do what we (women) do in certain situations when trying to calculate their next move, is simply crazy. More about that another time... definitely interesting topic.

Well enough about that and over to this man in my life who will become nothing short of my everything no doubt; Sean.

Bought a blue baby sleeping bag (which is an alternative to normal bedding for active babies that kick off their blankets) and a velour suit in grey with a matching hat. See below:

Daily Drugs

I'm somewhat of a vitamin junkie, and currently I take Multivitamin, Iron, Potassium Phosphate, Magnesium Phosphate, Folic Acid and B12 daily! Look at this very handy box I got from Boots Chemist with a space for Sunday - Saturday, so I am in control of my intake.

The clock is ticking...

Oh, and before I go I thought I'll post this - Someone had fun doing this! :-)

It's grumpy corner here this morning

Today I'm wearing top & trousers, both Gap maternity, scarf H&M L.O.G.G. Kids, brown suede loafers from Gucci

Just been on the phone to Hewlett Packard re my laptop which I handed in last week for repair for the second time (for the same problem; OVERHEATING) since it was bought in December last year.
Not only do they keep it for approx 10 days at a time (am currently using my old one which feels like it's from the stone age despite it only being 3 years old!), they replace the hard drive which means all my stuff is wiped off it. Not that I haven't backed it up but its just all the hassle that comes with it.....
Anyhow, they are now saying that the letter P is loose and they will charge £265 to fix it as they'll have to replace the whole keyboard. Are they insane? It should still be protected under the one year warranty but they claim it doesnt cover hard ware problems! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!! Ive had nothing but problems with that laptop since I bought it so I think it's a disgrace by HP to moan about fixing the letter P as a nice gesture for me. I'm so writing to Trading Standards...

Off to Oxford street now for some Sean Shopping to cheer myself up. Might just treat myself to a Frappuccino as well! :-) Will post pics of anything I might buy. See you later! Puss puss

Pregnant and Proud!

Dosed off watching Bruce Parry's adventures last night at 9.30pm and its was very much appreciated as I was well in need of some sleep.
My stomach is just growing and growing and I hardly recognise myself as I walk pass the mirror.
But I love my stomach, and I love being pregnant despite the downsides, but most of all I love the fact that I'm carrying another human being inside me. My son, my Sean.

But I'm so curious.... what do you look like my love, will you have my nose, will you eat alot, cry alot, will you be tall like your daddy? One thing I do know is that you will in my eyes be the most gorgeous little boy on this planet. I can't wait!! :-)

Today I'm seeing my friend Susanna and her son, her little miracle Alfie (3 months old), who will be Sean's playmate, but now I'm making myself a lovely cuppa and will watch the new episode of Desperate Housewives that I recorded on Sun night. Puss puss

It's not just me being proud, so is my darling boyfriend, my Bear - a proud dad to be.

Carrie Quote - dont you just love her?

"The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous." -Carrie

In with the new..

So the time has come to get rid of my slippers (they're actually going in my hospital bag and then they'll be chucked). Replacing them with these ones (above) Bigger, fluffier, better! :-) Did I tell you I've got a thing for slippers? Can't stop buying them..

Out with the old...

32 + 1/2 years today

My typical Monday morning brekkie for me is a bowl of : No added sugar or salt muesli, unsweetened soya milk with linseeds and Goji berries sprinkled on top. It gets me going and keeps me full for many hours.

Its a good start of the day with yet again, another sunny day ahead of us, and to my surprise when I went through Saturday's unopened mail, I found that I've won £50 on my Premium Bonds! Whoopee! Hmmmm.... what might I spend that on now?? A trip down to Oxford street might just help me with that dilemma :-)
Speaking of spending, I'm a huge fan of finding bargains (not only with clothes) and just look at these gorgeous flowers (below) I found yesterday at a local supermarket for only £3!

And at last this morning, but not least.. I'd like to say a big Happy Birthday to my dad who's currently on hols in Bulgaria and is turning 60 today. Lot's of love to you pappa - look forward to celebrating you when you come to London next month! Oh and dare I mention, it's my b'day too... well so to speak.. I'm turning 32 1/2 today! haha. Happy bday to me..

Gladioli bouquet (10 stems) for £3 - a bargain, aint it just? :-)

Happy B'day pappa!

Sunny afternoon in the countryside

Arriving at sunny Stoke Park wearing a linen tunic from Gap, vest & leggings both H&M, handbag Burberry and glasses D&G. Lunch was toasted ciabatta with prawns, avocado and rocket and it was yummie!

Sunday - Entering week 32 today

Morning folks!

It's Sunday and the sun is shining over London. I, however, am not shining so much as I've had a night with major sleep disruption mainly due to blocked nose which supposedely is common in pregnancy, physical discomfort, Sean kicking, indigestion, several trips to the loo and just the inability to switch off mentally – with my mind racing with plans for the future, even in the small hours. (sorry for moaning...)

Today I'm entering week 32 and I'm really longing for you so much Sean. I'm feeling incredibly tired and it's very distressing, which in some cases can lead to depression, leaving you with no energy and a sense of being disorientated.

I'm thinking that this is just my body preparing me for the sleep deprivation I will have to cope with when Sean arrives.

Now, on a brighter note, to cheer me up, my darling is taking me to our Country Club in Buckinghamshire , http://www.stokeparkclub.com/ He plans to use the gym,and I will relax and read the Sunday papers and then we will have lunch. Stoke Park is fantastic when you live in central London as its a sort of getaway place, but only 30 mins drive on the A40 which runs past Marylebone, near our place. The surroundings there are fantastic and they've filmed Bridget Jones's Diary, James Bond Goldfinger amongst other famous movies there.

This is also were I went for my pregnancy massage which I told you about earlier in the week. (see pic below of room at their award winning Spa)

Maternity tops

Well not really maternity, seeing that Primark dont do that. These are just large size cotton nighties which buttons in the front for breast feeding.

NOTE TO SELF: dont forget to pack for Sean too!! ;-)

Packing my bag (but not for going on holiday!)

I decided that I would have a tidy up around the flat this evening but ufortunately I did not account for my rapidly softening ligaments when I decided to reach behind our sofa. I guess it'll have to be dusty under there for a little longer. Instead, I made a start on packing my hospital/ labour bag which I've been meaning to do for some time now. This is what I've packed so far:

- Maternity tops, the ones I bought earlier in the week from Primark (see next post)
- Hairband and brush
- Slippers
- Electric heating pad (for back pain)
- Hello Kitty gown
-Fleece pyjamas
-Maternity towels with wings (been told you can bleed for days after the birth)
- Disposable briefs
- Nursing pads

Please Dear Santa...

Now yet another colletion by Kate Moss is out. You can check it out at topshop.com. Some cool rock chic stuff with some soft and romantic touches, but it has no maternity section which means I'll have to wait until Christmas before I can even start thinking about fitting in to her clothes..

Prams 1950 vs 2008

This Silvercross Balmoral pram (sold in Harrods and John Lewis, £1000) is just absolutely gorgeous. I love the old traditional style prams with large wheels. Unfortunately it's is not very practical... So I have therefore ordered this from Sweden, Emmaljunga Mondia Duo Combi :

This one is what I think is the Rolls Royce of today's otherwise chunky sporty modern prams.

Frappuccino

Wearing shorts from Mexx, tshirt H&M, cowboy boots from Camden
and glasses Gucci 2008.

Today I had a sudden urge for Starbucks chocolate cream chip Frappuccino with whipped cream. For you who don't know, it is a blend of ice and a mix of coffee, water, milk, and various syrups. The result is a beverage that is a little icy but with a consistency that is similar to a thin milkshake. Only 498 (!) calories, but once you have a pregnancy craving and want something, you gotta 'ave it - And boy was it nice! :-)

Go Sweden!

I'm not normally one for sports but once moving abroad, and I think you'll find most Swedes here in London will agree with me, one become very patriotic. So when Sweden played an important game like yesterday's qualifier against Hungary, I will post it here and am proud to say we won 2-1!

Sympathy

Good morning! Or not such a good morning in fact. I woke up at 5.30am from pain in my ribs and severe heartburn. . Sean must have moved as I'm now being kicked in the ribs, not the bladder!
I have found though, that Tesco's own brand indigestion tabs are far more effective than Gaviscon for me, so i have a side order of peppermint tablets with my breakfast - tasty! (not)
Sympathy goes out to all pregnant women out there with heartburn, leg cramps, back and rib ache... Will now call my mum which is a part of my daily routine (just saw her come online on msn so I know she's up), and will later go back to bed with my ipod and listen to a meditation podcast. Bye for now! Puss puss

This is genius!

Fighting With Your Man? This Crazy New Website Will Tell You Who's Right and Wrong...

"My husband never flushes the toilet because he's so cheap..." "My girlfriend gained weight and now..." "Is this cheating? I think so.."
I just stumbled across this new website Sidetaker.com is helping these couples figure out who's right and who's wrong. This is how it works;
A couple goes to Sidetaker and write both sides of the argument. Then readers vote on who's right. The website is addictive, disturbing and kind of genius. You must check it out! :-)

Weight: 70 kg - Circumference: 102 cm

Today's outfit

c'mon smile!

Today I'm wearing white skinny jeans from Topshop Maternity, brown long sleeved top from Primark, brown & beige Prada belt and brown cowboy boots bought in Sweden.

Sleeping Beauty

Today, to my joy the cot arrived! I was ecstatic and clapping my hands as I saw the van outside our window.( I know, what's the biggie, eh? It's just a bed, but I just can't help myself) It was such a rush and I had to tell the delivery man that I was so excited. He just smiled and said he could see that! My brother helped me assemble it. Now it feels even more real.. gosh.. only 2 months to go!! Can't wait for my son, my treasure, to arrive.
